CONGRATULATIONS GREECE GRADS!!

You've survived 13 years of:

  • Budget "cuts"
  • GTA antics
  • Cafeteria food!
  • Buildings in disrepair
  • Political infighting among BOE members
  • Numerous changes in Superintendents
  • Fundraising for sports, music & PTA
  • Insufficient textbooks, classroom materials & equipment
SCATS ~~ The Greece Central School District deems you duly prepared to begin college by taking remedial English, High School Math, Basic Composition, Reading for Comprehension, Remedial Spelling ... well, you get the picture ;)

I hope all of the grads recognize the benefit of additional education, either trade or academic. Good luck to you all!

And, "the Thug" was there to make sure graduation went OK.

To 8:51PM ~~ I've heard he's a nice guy ... was he giving someone trouble?

Attention Graduates.
As a convenience since you're all accustomed to being bussed everywhere necessary by the cheese wagons, GCSD will have buses available Monday morning at your former high school to take you directly to 111 Westphal Rd where you will be able to sign up for your future support system.

NO, that's not the County Pen, it's Health & Human Services where many already go to sign up for STD treatment.

Thank you
The Board of little Education

The "thug" is one of the nicest, kindest, and gentle souls you will EVER meet. Maybe you should try to talk to him before you judge him. You can ask anybody where he works too, he is excellent at his job, the students, parents and staff love him. He is a big teddybear.

To 7:06AM ~~ I think that since quotes were used the person knows full well that the security guard is NOT a "thug." I'm sure he was just doing his job. Gone are the days of holding graduations WITHOUT security present ... sad :(

Wondering if that "disclaimer" is still on the back of all the diplomas the Bored of Ed hands out?? Ya know the one that states "This diploma does not necessarily represent the academic achievement of this student." There is another sentence too but I can't remember it. It is on the back of my daughter's diploma.

Parents........take the diploma out of its fancy frame and turn it over to see.

To 5:56AM ~~ Shhhh!!! Don't give them any ideas!

As I recall, the district's "disclaimer" was axed by the BOE in the 1990's ... by a very contentious vote of 5 to 4. Unless they sneaked it back on there, the grads should be good to go.

I'd forgotten what amazingly stupid stuff Greece Central is capable of doing.

GCSD removed the disclaimer rather than defend another law suit.

The second line was something about contact GCSD for a true representation of the Diploma holders academic achievements.

To 3:31PM ~~ That's correct.
