History DOES Repeat Itself ...

Is Clarkstown School Board Trying To Oust Meg Keller-Coagan?

Both sides hire lawyers. The Clarkstown school board hired outside counsel for advice should it attempt to terminate the superintendent's contract before it expires in June 2012.

"We are certainly not aware of anything in her work that would be grounds for dismissal. The superintendent absolutely intends to fulfill her contract. There are no grounds to dismiss her." ~~ Michele V. Handzel, Meg's atty.
SCATS ~~ If she leaves will she get a financially punitive clause in her termination agreement to silence all of their officials like she did Greece's? Stayed tuned!

It was only a matter of time before this had to happen. (Unfortunately, the effects of her legacy still linger in Greece.)

There are still some in Greece that think this woman is the greatest.

And Wheatland-Chili just hired her protege. Looks like their legal bills will be in line with Greece's soon.

So the question remains. Why didn't Debbie Hoeft get the job in Wheatland? Could it be that when she was asked a question and didn't know the answer she would change the subject? That is her typical MO.

Greece has a Supt. opening. Could it possibly happen here again?

This is exactly why you still and will continually have problems with DO. These Administrators are left fromthe the Walts/Meg era. They continue with their "methods" that set this District back. This District will not move forward until the BOE remove the last two women. With these two that will be in charge this District will have even more Civil Rights/EEOC complaints

Any specifics known as to the why of their desire terminate? (don't speculate, I can do that)

Deb. really wants the Greee job.

Hire Hoeft for a 1 year contract them do not renew and that way GCSD can get rid of her. It is a catch 22 but the end result is positive.

To 9:58AM ~~ I'm told that googling her name brings up an issue about a big stink made over a really big stink (literally it was a gas and odor issue) in one of her elementary schools that left a bunch of angry people in its wake. I'm not sure about the internal politics in her district.

Its all about special interest group politics, just like CARE in Greece. You do my bidding, and I'll vote for you in a future election. Taxpayers foot the bill of the foolishness...

To 2:17PM ~~ Your suggestion related to CARE's clout is laughable at best! Yes, Greece is swamped with special interest groups, but the groups with the clout are the ones who put Boily on the BOE (one example) ... they've got $$$ to burn to accomplish their agenda.

I couldn't agree with you more, SCATS. If the board had followed the (real) CARE candidates, we would not be in the position we are now. The busing, the K-5 issue, the ridiculous money spent on Walts' health care, etc., etc., etc., would all have been taken care of three years ago and we would not be facing these issues now.

It's the money, money, money people who have bought their election with their special interests, i.e., civility, no micro-management (which in their terms means don't ask any questions about anything) who have brought us to where we are now. Civility in their terms means no comments and no discussion, ergo no arguments and no embarrassment to the Chamber of Commerce.
