The Democrats might have not been many but Dave's words were like the tip of the sword for the media too get the message out.

Congrats goes out too Dave and the rest of you who spoke up.

By the way, who was the one lady who got up and praised Auberger? It was obvious that she wasn't born yesterday but talk about an opinion in the dark!
I gather Augie or one of his hench men called her in to speak on his behalf.
Well glad Augie had the one on his side!

To 6:05PM ~~ As someone suggested to me, the lone Auberger supporter might have been the beneficiary of one of his "campaign stops" sometime in the past

I'm sorry-what a sad looking group-no wonder people vote republican. That's the best Democrats can do.
And I'm a democrat!

"Campaign Stops" Do you mean, oh my gosh!! LOL!!

Damn, lets do an investigation on that!! We got money to burn, 2 for 1 deal could get both of these done by the 12th. for,say 14K

To 6:16PM ~~ I hate to say it, but I had that exact same thought earlier when I saw clips of this on the news! Now I understand how Johnnie won last time around. Don't any of these people own a suit? Or did they just grab people off the sidewalk?

To 6:27PM ~~ The humor will cost you extra ;) lol

Personally I like that the dems look like ordinary people. Few wear suits in Rochester on a day to day basis. I'd prefer to hear discussion pro or con on their actions or ideas.

I think if we want to act as the fashion police we could certainly ask why the generally well off town board members wear such awful looking and badly fitting suits
Not to mention the stilletos Firkins wears.

RE: 6:16

Just got to ask you, were you there? If not,why and if yes, then why weren't you standing with them?

Mr. Auberger, rest up now because phase II is less than a month from now. You might want to bring some ear plugs, if you haven't thought of that already.

Phase III, if needed, that could be ugly!:)

I rather stand with them than have been sitting anywhere near Auberger.
The guy is a walking time bomb of scandals and I wouldn't want to be near him so he can point my way and throw me under that big old bus. I am a Republican.

Scats, good idea for the next voting topic.
How many feel that this investigatin is just an Auberger white wash or will they really accomplish something with this interview. Leave it up for more than a week if you can, I leave it up from now till the next meeting.

And if possible, have each person vote as what party they are from. I would find those results being very interesting.

To 8:36PM ~~ Good idea. I can attempt something like that, but trying to add in the party affiliation complicates things. At this point in time, I'm not sure that party affiliation has that much to do with how people are feeling.

If the Democratic Party is listening!!! this is the time to make a move. If the democrats in greece are not sleeping with the republicans this is the time to make gains.
It is time for a revoltg in Greece.
Auberger if you are listening stop thinking of yourself and think of the Republican Party for once and those young politician hopeful's. GET OUT. you've got the retirement.

Got to admit, after hearing Aubergers BS speech, I be really concerned if I was a republican who was going to be running for office this year. I only listen to it on line so I could hear for myself because been hearing a great deal about it at the Mall.

I work in the food court at the Greece Ridge Mall and I don't think that I ever heard so much buzzing going on about our politics as I have for the past 4 days, especially today. Mostly hearing how upset people are with Auberger and that he refuses to resign.
The other is about this special investigation is nothing but another Auberger scam to waste their tax money.

I never voted before but will be registering a.s.a.p.

Be careful about assuming that just because the Democrat Party takes over that we won't have more of the same. Remember, Dave Garretson admitted to not paying his taxes and he's leading the Democrat party in town. How do you give governmental power to a person like that?

The democrats threats of protests at this meeting were weak and lackluster at best. Their politicizing of this is probably for political gain and not for what's best for Greece.

They also run the Northgate group and nothing positive has come of that as a result of their efforts.

Change is good but it should be proper change.

This will be great!!! There are so many fiscally sound democrats out there. They have such a history of fiscal responsibility, self reliance. At least they won't be hypocrites - they're open about their lake of morals and refusal to pass judgment (except over conservatives) on people. Don't get me wrong - both parties stink in NY, it's just that if anyone believes the Dems are going to ride in to the rescue - you're out of your mind!

SCATS said...

To 1:21PM ~~ The "rescue" I'm looking for is in the form of a balance of power on our Town Board. It's been a one party rule system for far too long in Greece and this is where that has gotten us. Our govt was founded on a 2 party system, for a very good reason I might add. Auberger could become the poster boy for what happens when we give up that balance ;)

If your expectations are that Democrats are somehow more trustworthy or moral than Republicans I wonder what color the sky is in the world you live in. Leave us not forget that before Johnny was a Republican, he was a Democrat. Which half of him is the supervisor and which half of him is the adulterer? Or might it just be that politicians regardless of party affiliation wind up being so full of themselves that the morality thing just gets away from them.

To 2:04PM ~~ My expectation is that with someone from a different party there, the odor of BS will be noticed and brought up long before the others who are used to the smell even realize someone farted.

I thought North Gate Neighbors group wasn't partisan? All these people are with the Democratic Party AND run that group... what gives????
