So while he's screwing us he's screwing her. How quaint.

Well as everyone is aware of, our Town Supervisor has his own agenda and that usually will take priority over the issues of our Town. I think I am being kind in just saying this and that is only because there are very innocent people involved.

Lets see if anyone comes out publicly against him, the democrats should be screaming for an independent investigation on the town. the republicans should be chastise him like they did everyone else.

Maybe it is time for John A. to learn the lesson that Massa, Lee, Spitzer and a host of other politicians have learned: When you're exposed, you resign.

Guess I was wrong about Auberger, apparently he does like females!

Did anyone notice that Channel 13, aka the Rotary Network, had nothing on the story at 5pm and used the story as the second "teaser" as the 6pm show began. But then the news went on for 12 minutes before they devoted 35 seconds to the Auberger story. Meanwhile the responsible news channels were sending reporters to Greece and used the story extensively at the beginning for their programs. Fox gave it major coverage at 10pm also.
This is what happens when a TV news station, Ch 13, chooses to protect the Republican party, returns favors to people in high places, and kills stories that embarrass their Rotarian buddies. Don Alhart can't go two days without raving about something that a Rotarian did that he considers newsworthy. Guess that Rotarian Auberger deserved air cover today. The least amount of news possible. Channel 13 may be in HD but wide screen doesn't mean presenting all the news. Shame on Channel 13. Time to go elsewhere for balanced newscasts.
And has anyone wondered what triggered the son to kill Mom? Did he learn something awful? Was Auggie hiding naked in the closet when all this happened? Oh yeah, that was our other Republican politician about 4 years ago.
Monica died because of Auberger in my opinion. Why is this moral disaster still our superintendent. Guess we'll have to keep Lozinski for another $million to cover all the legal issues from this one.

To 10:36PM ~~ Yes, I definitely noticed the lack of coverage and appreciate the fact you brought it up here. I thought maybe I was alone in wondering why Ch 13 was late to report this "Top Story" carried by the others. I think Patrice Walsh helps put the kabbash on some of these stories. She's such a do-gooder for a reporter.

Resign, yeah sounds good. How about impeachment?

Hmmm...was the new station on Maiden Lane the payoff for keeping the public in the dark?

Another republican politician about 4 years ago?????

To 7:43AM ~~ Well Chief Todd has been telling all how pleased he's been with Uncle Auggie's response to the needs of the Greece PD. He's gotten most every toy and cop he wanted approved in the past year, a sweet deal!

To 7:45AM ~~ Yupper, our very own Joe R.

I have known John Auberger for over 40 years when he worked at Kodak. His recent indiscretions are not characteristic of the man I knew then.

Over the years as he entered politics his evolution into a real politician vastly changed him. I watched as he climbed the ladder and a disturbing pattern began to take place. Gone was the quiet unassuming family man I knew and emerging was a personality overwhelmed with himself and which approached deity status in his own mind. He has evolved into an all-controlling demagogue when it comes to his governing everything that happens in HIS TOWN of Greece.

John is the epitome of the phrase, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Forget about him resigning, as it won't happen! In addition to his steadfast stubbornness he has lost his moral compass and has developed a personality devoid of shame and personal responsibility.

As with every politician he, too, has fallen prey to its immoral perks.

Regarding Channel 13, did you know that reporter Patrice Walsh, a Greece resident, is no longer allowed by her station to cover news about Greece. Apparently her aggressive reporting upset the Republican establishment, the Rotary and members of the Greece School Board. This is a well-documented fact. Her relationship with Greece teacher, Mary Donlon, who filed an EEOC lawsuit against Greece Central and her subsequent coverage of the Donlon situation did her in.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but has anyone else noticed after reading the newspaper this morning which stated that on the evening of the murder, John was at home alone watching a Yankee game. When the police questioned him he related facts about the game which proved he had, indeed, watched that game.

This occurred several weeks after the murder and suddenly our John Alzheimer who forgot everything about what transpired in his office when he hired Pignato and Joseph could remember every detail of a ballgame played several weeks or months (I don't actually know the time differential) prior to his being questioned.

This truly sounds like selective memory to me.

To 10:38AM ~~ No, I didn't know that and I'm not buying it anyway. Reporters only get to air what their bosses allow. Her relationship with the Donlons could most assuredly have brought her back luck though. They aren't exactly paragons of virtue. Look at their backgrounds, especially Bill's!

Did you know that Patrice's hubby was a Greece teacher at one time? He taught at Odyssey where school is worth the cost of bussing ... until he got kicked to the curb for his inadequacies.

By the way, I've seen Patrice cover Greece stories since the Donlons ... nice try though ;)

To 10:43PM ~~ I think he has that new ailment of the not so elderly ... intermittent dementia. It only bothers him when he's about to be held accountable for something he did.

While on the media discussion, let us not forget two more relevant facts.

Channel 13's news partner is the D&C. Karen Magnuson, Vice President of news management is a Greece resident and a Greece Rotarian. I know of at least one story involving the Greece School District that was written and approved, but then killed by Magnuson. It was a good story but it made another Rotarian look bad, and as a result, no report on an issue of some importance to residents of Greece.

SCATS said...

To 3:14PM ~~ You make a good point about the connection between them but isn't it interesting that Ch 13's website has NOT ONE WORD about Auberger's affair on it when the D&C obviously FOIL'd some police reports to get this story?

How about you tell us the story that got killed?

Neither Karen Magnuson nor John Auberger are Greece Rotarians.

To 5:53PM ~~ They don't need to be. They get included in everything gratis.
