GPD Capt. Steve Chatterton Moves On Up!

SCATS congratulates Greece Police Dept.'s Capt. Steve Chatterton & his wife Andrea on the recent purchase of their new $255,000 home!!

Andrea who began working for the Town of Greece in 2010 as a Clerk to a Town Justice ($34,589) and Steve who was promoted to the position of Captain in GPD ($136,894) in Spring of 2010 are frequent past contributors to the Auberger campaign fund. Their new home is situated in the Hilton School District.

Brown-nosing in the Town of Greece
certainly comes with its privileges!

Looks to me like your envy is showing. This snarky stuff belittles you.

It would be interesting to compare this list of Greece employees with the list of contributors to the Auberger retirement er reelection fund

Hey Scats,

Give the guy a break. I know, it's all part of the public record, but while you lurk behind the veil of anonymity, you don't seem to mind publishing information about others, even information that has little relevance to the public. Posts like this seem gossipy at best. But maybe that's the goal (?).

Is there a reason that police officers, especially top ranking, do not live in the school district where they work? Do we have an unspoken reciprocal agreement with Hilton where maybe their officers live in Greece school district? Maybe the city officers live in Greece? Obviously that goes for teachers.

To 1:51PM ~~ Nah, but I got my tax bill very recently. I like knowing where my money goes ;)

To 2:36PM ~~ True but there are so many new cops now. They haven't been acclimated to "our ways" in this town ... yet.

To 3:21PM ~~ Since property sale was in the newspaper, you are barking up the wrong tree ;)

To 3:30PM ~~ I think a lot of Greece cops don't want their kids attending Greece Schools. They know first hand the troubles that lurk there.

He could have moved to True Hickory-right

To 4:49PM ~~ According to the map, if he had, he would at least live within the GCSD boundary. His kids could go to Olympia ... if they didn't win the school-of-choice lottery.

While lots of Greece taxpayers live in the Hilton school district, it would seem that the top ranking town officials would live in the town and send their kids to town schools....Good luck gettin' that thru the Club!

I wouldn't say he really moved up much. Yes, it's a 255K house, but he bought the last one for 253K and sold it for 240K.

To 6:03PM ~~ He doesn't sound too smart, does he?

Chaterton and his family have had the life of privilege working for the town. He should be in jail with his gambling buddy uncle Meritt.

I wonder how many Greece cops, especially Sgt and above, actually do live within the confines of the Greece Central School District AND send their kids to Greece Schools. I know Capt. Uhrmacher is one of the few.

Do you really care where in the town they live. I don't!

Hilton schools ARE our schools. As are Spencerport schools.

I would not send a kid from East High to Greece schools, why should anyone expect a police officer to use Greece Schools.

The DA should look at this guy and his crew.

To 10:24AM ~~ How so?

To 4:46PM ~~ Why shouldn't our public employees be expected to live in Greece and use Greece schools? If our tax $$ is good enough for their paycheck, then I think they should step up and help make the community a better place in all respects.

SCATS its not called the TOWN of Greece School District, its the Greece School District, just because it has the name of the town in the title, it doesn't mean all the residents of the town must attend. And, who can blame people who move to the town choosing to live in the HCSD part of the town, Hilton schools are 10x better then GCSD

To 9:06PM ~~ According to the Pres. of the Greece BOE, Hilton Schools are where his own grandaughter got the tar beaten out of her. If that's "better" we're in some really deep duty here.

I would like to know why this guy was protected with a few others. Was a million not enough to turn over all the stones?
