Hire someone from Hilton. I would have expected their transportaion costs to be more than Greece's as they travel further between stops. Not so.

Sorry but that won't happen as it wasn't invented here.

This is a civil service test posting. In order to hold a particular Civil Service job, one needs to pass the test for that job title. It does not appear to be a hiring notice.

To 11:52AM ~~ How can one distinguish a test posting from a hiring notice??

"The Greece Central School District has one (1) position currently held by a provisionally appointed employee, who may be appointed on a permanent basis if found reachable on a civil service list established as a result of this exam.
The results of this exam may be used to fill vacancies, which may occur during the life of the eligible list."

This document is from Monroe County which administers the Civil Service tests. This test will qualify a temporary employee to get a particular Civil Service classified position. For example, a police chief candidate would need a certain Civil Service qualification for that job.

An actual hiring notice would have to come from the Greece School system.

The current Transportation director must not have been reachable at the time of appoitment?

SCATS ; On the subject of Transportation , Why do the tax payers of Greece have to pay to transport 200 kids to Cortland to watch an Odyssey soccer game on a school day? Is this in the budget? Was Nov.12th a school day ? I'm not sure .I't probably was because the Principal , Vice principal and " AD " were at the game. Add those salary's up. I'm sure the cost didn't come out of their pockets .

To Concerned Hamburger ~~ Since I can't find any other method for contacting you, I'm left with posting here (and on your site as well). While I don't mind that you quote a passage from or reference SCATS BLOG or "FOLLOW" it via Blogspot linked to your own BLOG, I am not pleased to find that you took the liberty of reproducing an entire thread on there without the courtesy of asking for and receiving my permission to do so. I suspect the readers of SCATS would be a bit upset to see their comments posted over there. With that in mind, I'm requesting that you edit your post to remove everything except the BLOG post portion that starts with the date November 23, 2010 and ends with "* A special thank you to the person who provided these links :)"

I would appreciate it if you also remove the
portion in the left sidebar that includes the poll and my profile info. If your readers care to visit SCATS via a link to your BLOG, that's fine. Should you agree to cooperate, I think we could mutually agree to provide a permanent link on our respective sites to each others, right? I hope you understand. Thank you.
