Police Investigate Secret Recording
Made of "Illegal" Executive Session*

SCATS ~~ Was that Steve's voice heard saying he'd ordered a cop with a stun gun to silence a resident? It sounds like him to me! It also sounds like Steve has developed Alzburger's Disease!

* A special thank you to the person who provided these links :)

I wonder if Super Steve is going to try and pin this on Miss Sahrle's husband too.

Oh I hate Achramovitch, except when he wants to close WestRidge, then I love him, but then I hate him again when he does something I don't like, but I love him when he fires a hockey coach.

To 9:33PM ~~ I have ALWAYS contended that Achramovitch made TWO CORRECT DECISIONS during his time in Greece and that the mushroom people on the BOE over-turned both decisions, thereby neutering him of ever being effective again.

"Neutered and ineffective" can be a result of high stress.

Make sure you got facts-not your assumions-remember the Athena Wrestling sexual assualt that you knew so much about!

SCATS - while this is entertaining (because it's about dysfunction that ISN'T GCSD), what is the point in posting this? Achramovitch is gone, Walts is gone, K-C is gone....yes, I realize that there is collateral damage to be had as a result of their leadership and tenure in Greece, but seriously - continuing to keep them alive in the District through postings such as this only serves to make the community of Greece appear to be mean-spirited, unable to move on and vindictive.

I am positive you will have a well rationalized response to my question - you always do (that is not a criticism, it's a compliment but often "tone" is read into statement such as that when none is intended). The service you provide does allow the citizens of Greece to think objectively (if they come with an open mind) about issues in our community; but this type of perpetuation of negativity serves no purpose for US.

Wow makes me wonder what our BOE says behind closed doors.

To 6:16AM ~~ In regards to the sexual assault on the kid at Athena I know that saw the principal step backwards away from a reporter who was waving a copy of the emergency room doctor's exam on the kid who was victimized. I know that the reporter asked if the principal had seen and read the report. I know that the principal put both hands out towards the reporter with palms facing said reporter as he continued backing away, shaking his head "no" in response. I know the reporter offered to let him see the report and the principal said "maybe later." I know ALL of this occurred during a press conference AFTER it was declared that nothing sinister had happened in the locker room and that a "complete investigation" had taken place.

How could the investigation be "complete" and the principal so naive as to say nothing happened if he hadn't bothered reading the ER doc's report which said otherwise?

In my mind, it's just one more cover up in GCSD.

To 6:33AM ~~ The point is exactly what 7:25AM has expressed ... to make people think about what's going on (now AND in the recent past) in our own district behind closed doors. We've had bugs in the BOE room. We've arrested citizens sitting in the audience. Despite claims to the contrary, I'm sure our BOE discusses non-Executive Session business with the doors closed. In fact, I'll bet this BLOG is a frequent topic at times.

6:16AM you're delusional.

To 8:36AM ~~ Now, now. We call it drinking the Kool-Aid ;)

Not for nothing...But isn't a threat to taser someone during a public meeting symptomatic of other underlying issues???

SCATS said...

To 8:51AM ~~ You picked up on that, too? I think it shows what kind of "leader" Greece has relied upon for at least the 3.5 yrs. Steve was here. That doesn't mean I think his predecessors were any better, because I don't believe they were.

6:33- maybe another point is that anyone with half a brain and a computer could have easily read about SA's colorful past right here on this little blog. They hired him anyway???

Hello from Hamburg again.... as soon as Steve A. was hired as interim in Hamburg, staff called people they know, immediately they had the scoop on this guy, both from Greece and Kenmore.

Why the Hamburg SB didn't do the same thing is stunning. The perks for interims are outrageous and the Hamburg SB won't even settle the teacher contract for peanuts.

Whether they were having a meeting legally or not is not the issue. Once they started to talk about a person that was a citizen, not an employee, not trying out for a job, and talking about silencing her they were in violation of the open meetings law. (They were also discussing and conspiring to take away her civil rights. RICO)
There is no part of the exceptions to the open meetings law that allows them to discuss a citizen that is attending the meetings and speaking to the board. So the person that taped the meeting had every right to tape it because those issues should have been discussed in the open where we can all record the meetings. And in New York state a person can tape a meeting even if it is not a public meeting but only an appointment if at least one of the participants knows it is being taped. That is New york state law. Not Virginia law as Linda tripp found out but definitely we can record surreptitiously if we are present speaking or not.
Now we can't bug the board room and the excess seating rooms like the previous administration did here in Greece before they went to Virginia. That would require a court order for a wiretap or bug. But if you are sitting in a restaurant or on the phone you can tape another person and yourself.
It might not be able to be used as evidence in court but no one seems to want to use this recording in court. They just wanted to alert this woman that her health and safety were in danger.
And that nasally voice is recognizable anywhere. What a fine example for our children.

I listened to the link, I agree it is Steve's voice, but he never said to taze anyone. The person before did though. He just referred to the fact that there was going to be someone there if people got out of hand. And if someone was there to record the meeting how secret could it have been?

SCATS said...

To 8:45PM ~~ Steve said he asked for an officer with a stun gun to be there ... in case ... it is him saying it.

As far as recording the meeting is concerned, one need not be present to record such a meeting. Even when Executive Sessions are posted, the doors are still closed.
