Rahn Files Notice Of Claim Against Town of Greece, Supervisor & Loszynski

Merritt Rahn intends to sue for damages, alleging defamation, selective enforcement, and violations of due process and civil rights in connection with the July release of the Loszynski report which documented the Greece Police Dept's troubles.

The notice claims that Rahn has suffered “trauma, nervousness, anxiety, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of reputation, deprivation of liberty, loss of earnings, loss of business opportunities, and attorney’s fees” since release of the report.

Maybe this will force Auberger to testify again and get egg on his face. Or maybe the town leaders will just throw some of our tax money (i.e chump change) at him to shut up.

To 5:29PM ~~ Rahn might be happy with some chump change! All he got before was a paltry $10,000.

He suffered all of those things from his son . Ask him for money , it sounds like he has some . Maybe he could be a teacher in the district , he'd never be fired .

I don't think that $10,000 would pay Jeffrey Wicks fees.I guess $50,000 minimum to shut up

I think that Rahn's “trauma, nervousness, anxiety, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of reputation, deprivation of liberty, loss of earnings and loss of business opportunities has much too do with being found guilty and sentenced to jail. I think anyone be a little of all that if they were sitting in jail. He and his attorney had their day in court to prove what they wanted or needed too but thank God the Judge and Jurors didn't fall for the bull that went on in that court room and did what was needed to be done. As for the "Loser Report", well I think that speaks for itself along with Augie's reputation.
I haven't heard one thing positive about our Town Super since all this began: I think it's absurd that we pay a convicted Felon anything.

To 8:04PM ~~ It's been pointed out to me that in these sorts of cases the attorney gets paid from the settlement money, if any.

Lawyer must be working gratus!

To 9:54AM ~~ As I pointed out already, in such cases as this type, lawyers typically get paid only if/when their client wins the case. At that point, they take a percentage of the settlement amount, often around 30%.

SCATS I do understand how lawyers get paid in cases like this. So GRATIS it is!
