Property Tax Cap Article Catches Reader's Attention

From SCATS' Email: I think an interesting thread would be to gauge public reaction to NYSUT union boss Dick Ianuzzii,s outburst in the Dand C yesterday.  Seems that Dick is vehemently opposed to a property tax cap because "it would let the taxpayers shirk their obligation to provide a quality education in NYS public schools".  Funny thing is that Dick is also vehemently opposed to any meaningful performance metrics for his union teachers. Thanks

Teacher Unions don't give a rat's rear end about our educational system in NYS or the country for that matter. It is all about them, the money and benefits they demand and rip us off for and total control over the educational system. Our educational system in this country no longer exists for the children it was designed to serve. It is controlled by the union thugs who have bought our politicians across the country with OUR tax dollars. And the sad thing is a lot of parents are too dumb to see the lies that come out of these union thugs mouths.

To 5:56AM ~~ In defense of parents, even if they realize it, they are hard-pressed to do anything about it when their children are captives of the union thugs for 6 hrs/day. Worse yet, the BOE operates with their collective head up their arse, often because many of them have kids held hostage for 6 hrs/day too.

As to your last comment at 8:10 (BOE's kids), this is exactly why these people shouldn't run for these positions, yet alone be elected to them. Who was the last BOE member, with kid(s) in school, who ever voted responsibly on any spending item? Their kids may be hostage, but they knew that was the case when they ran for the BOE, and all they do now is feather their own nest with their vote.
