Will it be another set up by the democrats that control NGN now, where the Democrat candidate supporters pretend to be neighborhood residents and attack the republican candidates? Or will it be a simple, honest and fair forum? Residents are't going if it turns into the circus like it does every other year.

To 1:30AM ~~ How is it a "set up" to give hard questions to those who have been in office for years (like Auberger was questioned last year) a tough time over the way they do things, the scandals that occur on their watch and the closed, clubby & corrupt governments they run on our dime? Residents WILL go because this is the only opportunity where the Republicans in Greece MIGHT (if they show up, instead of cower and run away in fear) allow themselves to be questioned in any meaningful way. I'm betting Robach won't show ;) He hasn't made himself available in an open forum for questioning since his "alleged affair" hit the airwaves. The way these guys operate is so predictable.

Whenever one of these events come up the republcans (likely the morons ranting) try to undermine it using the big lie technique.

If the meeting is open to all and democrats ask questions why is that unfair? Republicans and independents also have an equal chance to speak. If for example a bunch of tea party types grilled a democrat at a meeting I'm sure for the poster that would be great. Again the republicans want a structre in which free speech and free discussion is restriscted abd favrs them. They still think they have the divine right to rule.

To 11:08AM ~~ Tough night last night?

Yesterday, it was almost heart-warming to hear our local Republicans behaved in such a friendly way with so many of our local Democrats at the big dog and pony show.

Now if only the Democrats could try to do the same. We'll see I guess.

To 12:17PM ~~ I was being extremely sarcastic ;)

Oh. I was being extremely sincere. I wish the local Democrats would act more civil.

To 1:35PM ~~ I wasn't doubting your sincerity, was I? If you want the Democrats to improve their behavior, perhaps the Republicans could at least TRY to lead by example! Case in point, at Saturday's fundraiser during the library's Fall Arts Festival, Auberger absolutely INSISTED people drop what they were doing (many were in the middle of learning a craft or making a craft with their kids at the many different stations set-up throughout the library) to gather around him and his Republican cronies for a sickening display of self-centered prattle about how wonderful things in Greece (and the library) are under his dictatorship from the top for the last 13 years. They were downright rude and arrogant.
