Who on the 3rd Floor is responsible for screening potential teaching candidates in Greece?

Another Greece Teacher arrested...another very disturbing trend...

Which school in Greece does/did he teach?

To 6:52PM ~~ Responsible??? This is Greece where no one is ever responsible ;)

To 7:45PM ~~ He is a sub so it could be in several schools.

We have to have the record for most teachers arrested.

To 10:19PM ~~ Not yet. We got a late start ... but we're working on it ;)

Substitute teachers don't have a "contract" like other teachers. It would be interesting to find out if substitute teachers, once convicted of a crime, are allowed to teach in Greece again.

I believe that Kim O'Connor is responsible for the screening of applicants throughout the District.

Guilty until proved otherwise??

To 7:14AM ~~ No contract, but they do have a union right?

To 7:31AM ~~ Just an FYI, according to SeeThroughNY, this individual did work for GCSD as far back as 2008.

I find it interesting that the headline screamed "Greece Teacher" arrested instead of "Spencerport or Ogden Man and Son arrested." This person could be subbing in a number of districts, but yet, Greece seems to be singled out. I am wondering if the media has a bias against the town of Greece, because it seems that more times than not, if there is an incident and it happens to involve someone from Greece, that's the first thing that's in the headline. In this case, the headline should have read "Spencerport or Ogden Man and Son Arrested because that's where the guy lives and the incident occurred! Interestingly, whenever something happens on the east side of town, it's buried in the back pages of the paper or is a minor note on the news. Hmm,do you think any of the reporters live on the east side of town? As far as backround checks go, you can only find something if there has been an arrest or conviction on the check. No one can predict future behavior. Thankfully, this man is not a full-time employee of the district--should be much easier to dismiss if he is found guilty of this absurd behavior.

To 1:16PM ~~ Re: "This person could be subbing in a number of districts, but yet, Greece seems to be singled out."

He "could be" but apparently isn't. I believe the headline was intended to alert Greece parents since it appears that Berkeley Brean discovered GCSD knew nothing about this guy's behavior. I think it's an appropriate heads up.

Re: "Thankfully, this man is not a full-time employee of the district--should be much easier to dismiss if he is found guilty of this absurd behavior."

Since when did a violent act by an adult that victimizes a teen become "absurd behavior"? It's violent behavior, period.

Greece isn't the only district he was subbing in nor the most recent, yet it was the only one mentioned...why is that.

To 9:43PM ~~ If you know so much more than was reported, then why is it that you aren't telling us?
