Greece Central School District Superintendent Search "Do Over"

"Must Love Corruption!"

The Board of Education of the Greece Central School District, a large suburban district in western NY State, is renewing their search for a new superintendent. Applicants must have the ability to read the minds of employees, the Greece School Board & the few voters who bother to cast ballots. The ability to ignore any/all input the district actively seeks and gets from the community is an especially prized talent. Those who enjoy playing victim will be put at the top of the list. If "whipping boy" defines you, then YOU are our guy! Applicant must be honest, but not too honest (wink, wink). Please be adept with hiding various amounts of money under one of three cups you constantly shift around. Your background will be checked to ensure you NEVER tried to fire a hockey coach who drank on the job or eliminated a nearly empty classroom or school building to save money in a district that is constantly cash-strapped. Any knowledge of education is a bonus, but not required. Qualified applicants must be comfortable ignoring Greece Central School District's policy and regulations, as well as various state and federal laws. The Greece Central School District invites you to join our team where "Student learning is the goal" ... along with dodging EEOC lawsuits and white-washing Comptroller audits. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's ability to shirk responsibility, lie with a straight face and pretend everything is copacetic.

Dear Committee:

I am perfect for this job. I will soon be leaving my well paid execultive postion in a major municipality in the area and am looking for a soft landing. I am an expert in self deception as well as disimulation with others. One of my best qualities is blaming others for my flaws and passing responsiblity for any errors onto my underlings
Most important I have a bad memory and a long nose.

Sincerely
J. Alzheimer

Here is a survey to take which no one will pay attention to.

Boces has not even posted an ad for their search. Are we paying them by the month? year? results? effort?

To 5:29PM ~~ In all fairness, I filled out & returned that survey last March. They've only been ignoring my input since they asked for it ;)

If I understand correctly, our BOE in their infinite wisdom suspended the search last spring after parading the first three finalists about and allowing GTA to tell them "no thanks." Tuesday night, the BOE will vote to begin anew.

There was an ad and even a brochure last Spring, if I recall correctly. I wonder if we will have to pay them to "do over" all of the PR literature, too.

CORRECTION My last post should have said "the first TWO finalists" ...

Also, I just checked the archives and guess what? All of the glossy brochures & even the 5 pg. application form are gone from the BOCES website. The survey noted by 5:29PM is all that remains.

Let me try to get this straight. Walts...fired
Meg KC...fired
Achromovitch...Fired

Here are your last 3 Stupidintendants. What do they all have in common? Those that currently work in District Office - Mitchell, Hoeft, Pallas, Nadolinski. Maybe (definitely) they never supported anyone. They all have their own motives. How come none of these people are ever considered for our beloved Superintendent position. I know most have applied for Greece's and other districts. For example. Mitchell applied to Penfield a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure she didn't get that position;)

Pallas interviewed for a Super's position
in East Rochester.

Do any of them live or pay taxes in Greece?

Walts NOT fired! Should have been fired for crimes againist thousand of students and hundreds of staff members. No B___'s, brains, professionalizm or ethics on the Phelan majority controlled BOE, so Steve gets a huge promotion and takes about $20,000 a year from Greece Central for the rest of his life.

Achromovitch NOT fired. His contract is fullfilled and new BOE majority, under Oberg, instead of Boily doesn't renew a second three year contract. Achromovitch nothing more than a puppet for Boily. If Boily had his majority we would have Achromovitch for another three years.

Mitchell applied in Greece did not make it to the finals.

In my opinion Nadolinski is too smart to apply.
Pallis would need to buy a case of soap to wash out her mouth.

Enjoy

Doug

To Doug ~~ I agree Walts wasn't fired, but I think he was smart enough to realize it was time to get out of Dodge City. Achramovitch was as closed to being "fired" as one can come in the education field today. It's very rare that anyone ever gets "fired" the way they do in private business. It's true his contract wasn't renewed. That's saying "We don't want you any more" isn't it?

Doug, You honestly don't believe Nadolinski is "too smart"? He is knee deep in the latest scandal in Greece. They have kept it quiet for awhile. It will be coming out soon though. The man doesn't have any integrity. What he doesn't realize is that he will be the "scapegoat" in all of this. No big deal for him because he can retire and what will he care when it costs the district "millions". By the way Doug, you know this teacher!!

SCATS said...

Is that the scent of another discrimination case coming this way? Why am I not surprised?

I've thought Nadolinski knows where the skeletons are hidden throughout GCSD. He's been here a long time and is adept at flying under the radar. It seems like most everyone trusts him, except maybe for SCATS and 3:48PM. What can I say about the guy who conducted the secret lottery and finangled waiting lists for many years?

Scats...KNEE DEEP IN IT!! Along with Hoeft, Pallas, and a "to be named later".

Hoeft? Do tell!!

Anonymous said...

Only One union rep (GTA) spoke this PM...
What does that tell you?

Anonymous said...

SCATS, how dare you say waiting lists and the lottery are done unfairly and "finangled". I can say with complete confidence that my child went from 41st on the waiting list at Pine Brook to 1st on the list, in the matter of a single phone call, because 40 other kids suddenly decided they didn't want to be at Pine Brook.

Yours Truly,
The BLOB

ps- It's only coinsidence that from the time my kid won the lottery I never went against Walts on anything. Honest.

To 6:39PM ~~ What it tells me is that A NEW GTS CONTRACT IS COMING SOON! I'm able to say this with confidence, as the head of GTA had no beefs tonight - the first time in 4 years ;)

As I heard tonight the board has like 39 goals, committees to determine such things as the names of other committees.
As someone else said "bottom line"

Nothing gets done about schools of choice.

Who ows, after yesterday's primaries, we might accidently get lucky and hire the woman who will soon be leaving Washington DC schools.

I figure under 18 months that lady will have union teachers picketing 5 days a week, the Board of Dolts hiding in their basements, and something resembling an actual teaching facility started @ GCSD.

Yours is one of the best posts I have seen - brovo.
Unfortunatly with our fetish for touchy/feely talk and the inability to do business in a business like manner we should have little hope of getting anything but the status/qou. The biggest reason I say that is there is no indicator that what we were told yesterday means anything today.
It's all about TRUST.
