My kids love going back to school. They read and do work all summer and are ready to see their friends and have a full day.

I do enjoy them being home in the summer, as the morning rush is a bit tiring. It is nice to sleep in and not be on a set time schedule.

To 11:36PM ~~ How much do you enjoy the homework & project support you are required to do?

Im the op 11:36. Hehe great question Scats. My oldest was caught in the new math in 3rd grade and we have provided hours of support and tutoring to keep her on track. SHe is now going into 8th. I have found it frustrating at times, and often feel there is more homework/ home teaching than there should be. I have grades ranging in the 1st to 8th grade range.

In the end, even if I disagree with the GCSD teaching methodology it is my responsibility to bridge any gaps in the learning. Given that I have had to pay for out side support due do a poor transition with math investigations, I strongly believe the district has not done enough for the students that fell through the cracks as a DIRECT result of that program implementation.

I could go on....
