Where Is He Now?

George M. Kisha
  • Fled GCSD for the Pittsford School District when GCSD was served with papers related to an appeal to the Commissioner of Education by Greece resident Tom Kackmeister
  • Joined Steve Walts when he was Appointed Assoc. Supt. for Finance & Support Services in Prince William County Schools in August 2005.
  • Abruptly resigned from PWCS without explanation as reported by SCATS via the Washington Post Metro Section on May 23, 2008. There were rumors of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a colleague, among other allegations.
  • Became a licensed realtor & began hawking real estate for Century 21 Stackhouse & Assoc. in the Prince William County area
  • Created a MySpace page with bio
  • Updated his Facebook page to omit his real estate connections AND to say he has "recently retired" to NYC following SCATS' announcement this past week that we are planning to post about notables from Greece's past! Oddly, he "forgot" to change his location ;)

"What happened to Dick Dohr and Mike Henry?" The financial dynamic-duo of the CIP project?

Good question 10:28AM. Maybe we can find out ;)

Dear Potential Superintendent Candidates,

Beware.....
Some people have too much time on their hands and feel self-important by way of their "hobbies."

ps Please apply

To 9PM ~~ The implication of your posting is that this BLOG is all that is preventing GCSD from attracting a quality Supt. Aren't you giving an awful lot of power to an entity whose name never gets uttered at a BOE meeting, because in the small minds that run Greece Central, the "critics" can never be real, right, or respected?

I'm wondering how you explain the fact we "attracted" and hired Achramovitch? Who was your whipping boy then?

Scats:
Really, now. Why do you feel it necessary to dredge up the current status of past administrators. YOU are in a unique position, by way of this blog, to encourage the Greece community to move beyond the past - to work together to create a better future for GCSD. As much as people may not always agree with you or your position on CURRENT issues within the district, you do get out timely and accurate information to keep the populace informed. Keep focusing on THAT - this other "stuff" makes you look mean spirited and vindictive to be honest. These past people have no current influence on the district and although they may have contributed to and/or created some of the issues we currently grapple with, dredging that up or reporting on their "goings-ons" now does nothing to promote or move the district forward. If people are THAT curious about these individuals, let them do their own research. The rest of us really could care less.

SCATS said...

To 11:46AM ~~ Thank you for the complimentary portion of your remarks.

As for the rest, another individual did most of the research and offered it since it was available. At this point in time, I'd say that those I've heard from who found it interesting (several email) out-number those who saw things your way by a small number. In fact, I've received a few requests for info on specific individuals from back "then". So, I guess I'd have to say that if you don't find certain BLOG topics interesting or palatable, then please don't read them.

Re: "These past people have no current influence on the district and although they may have contributed to and/or created some of the issues we currently grapple with ..."

Isn't that rather contraindictory?

And it seems like many of these people have improved their lot by leaving Greece. Ironic since most of them left under a cloud. Maybe Greece is toxic.
And since we drew so few candidates during the superintendent search maybe we have been red flagged by the pool we are fishing in. The man from Pittsford may find he could be here for a long time.

SCATS said...

To 1:04PM ~~ Actually, we drew quite a number of inquiries in the supt. search. If I recall correctly, there were around 30 or so nibbles and +/-10 or so who were reviewed before the BOE decided on the two who were shown to the community.

You say these people "improved their lot by leaving Greece" but isn't it possible their new employers haven't uncovered yet the types of issues they left in Greece? You know, the little stuff that led to the comptroller's scathing audit, the CIP scandal, the corruption allegations, improperly constructed facilities, the failed math curriculum, the suit over special ed services - to name several? Maybe they made Greece toxic........

To all of you naysayers,

People of character and integrity have nothing to worry about. If those flaws reduce our candidate numbers then it's a good thing, not bad!

I am going to investigate a lawsuit against you.

SCATS said...

To 5:06PM ~~ There are none pending, so you won't have much to investigate. If you meant you are threatening to bring one, have fun. What I've posted about George Kisha et al is all clearly available and quite public online. If he or anyone else doesn't want to be scrutinized based on what is available for the world to read, then maybe he and the others should stop making personal BLOGS, and creating MySpace, LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, or engaging in behaviors that brings suspicion by the community/public or gets them into trouble. Remember, some points of view expressed here claim the info posted shows we've lost good people who did BETTER after leaving Greece ;)

Intent is the word of the day. Your intent is not to simply state facts. Your intent is to incite harm to the individuals you write about and this is not above board in the eye of the law. Either way your fight In the courts will cripple you. Legal or not.

Pucker up buttercup.

SCATS said...

To 9:40PM ~~ Proof is the word of the day. Unless YOU are the alleged injured party, you have no basis for any lawsuit. If you claim to have been harmed, YOU must PROVE it. Proving intent can be quite difficult. Any cost to me will be just at least as great for you.

Study up, Sherlock.

PS ~~ Don't forget that I still have my first amendment right to state my opinion about items in the media, news, online, etc. This BLOG is and has always been about opinions (mine, yours, others) based upon facts. Some people have done illegal things. Some people have gotten themselves into hotwater at work. My actions didn't create their problems. They did. Any further threats will be forwarded to Google/Blogspot for follow-up.

Scats... instead of getting into a "public p*ssing contest" with this person, why don't you just DELETE his/her comments? You know the old saying "Never wrestle with a pig—--you only get dirty and the pig loves it!"

SCATS said...

To 10:12PM ~~ Don't worry, it's not going any further. I think someone from GCSD can't stand the fact that certain past employees look pretty good despite their ungraceful exit from Greece (Keller-Cogan, Pagano-Fuller). Just ask the Donlons ;)

You all need to understand that sCATS needs to go after people from the past who longer serve in the district because he's not going to hold current board leadership accountable. He needs to deflect attantion away from them and put it on someone else. It's actually quite a smart move.

Let's just wait and see how SCATS reacts to this new board leadership. If he is no longer objectively critical because of who they are, we'll all know the score of the game.

My money is on SCATS giving new board bosses a total pass, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt first.

You all need to understand that 12:37PM needs to go after SCATS because he's not going to tolerate sniper comments, bullying remarks and threats. 12:37PM needs to deflect attantion(sic) away from his own personal issues. It's actually quite a smart move.

Let's just wait and see how 12:37PM reacts when he realizes that BLOG archives show there is ample evidence that SCATS has been critical of both of the new board bosses. In fact, Oberg has likened this BLOG to the KKK and SCATS called him out on it! And Van Orman took plenty of heat as BOE Prez. especially when she broke the law by telling people on the radio to "vote yes" on the proposition ... and then that 10 minute portion of the meeting videotape "disappeared" before making it's way onto TV.

My money is on 12:37PM continuing to try to harass SCATS about topics he knows nothing about, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt first ;)

To 7:32PM ~~ Then I'll just call you Toilet Mouth. It fits the comment rejected ;)

Scats... There you go again! You just KNEW that your "thank you Bill" reference was going to result in some sort of retort. Why couldn't you have left it at "BLOG Administration rejected posting a vulgar comment."???

Now you're involved in yet another "public p*ssing contest"!

SCATS said...

To 12:32PM ~~ Actually, I have my reasons. Believe it or not, there is very little that I say or do related to this BLOG that hasn't been given due thought in advance.

Scats... I stand by the comments I posted at 12:10. C'mon... rise above it! You're better than that!

I think it is good to know which threads are causing the blogmeister the most trouble with nastiness. Apparently this particular subject really riled someone up. Some people who have moved away or are no longer superintendents are worried by a little "where are they now" thread.
