Getting the budget passed failed to make their list of goals. How telling is that? Ha!

I am surprized there was no concern over the sibling rule being used for schools of choice.

To 11:31AM ~~ Do you honestly think that BOE members whose kids have attended these schools (or who otherwise support them no matter the cost) would bring that up???

Scats; this is quite a list. What has the board been working on the last few years?

To 11:13AM ~~ The simple answer is tabling/delaying/ignoring having to do any of the things on this list ;)

I am VERY disappointed that the conduct of the board is not a concern.
I speak of course to the lack of respect shown to the 'vote' of the community at budget time. If the board and administration does not see this as a problem then I see little hope for significant change. A desire for involvement cannot be phony.

The other item to watch for is the use of committes. Anything on this list being assigned to a committee can be looked on as 'not wanting to be dealt with' 'a crutch for the board' to avoid taking a position. If a committee is deemed necessary Mr. Oberg had the right idea recently with the transportation committee - 3 meetings - done.
History shows committees accomplish little if anything.

It would be nice if the board did SOMETHING.
