Talk Heard Around The Water Cooler ...

Greece School Board member Sean McCabe aspires to be the next school board president. He wants the position to bolster his resume prior to running for the Greece Town Board and later as a candidate to become a State Representative. Too bad Sean (a Boily bunch puppet) may not have the five votes he will need to get his start into real politics ...

I guess that sort of makes sense.
I have yet to hear the man express an opinion or make a cogent argument on any topic.
Judging by the person he might aspire to replace, it sounds like a fit.
Unfortunately, that would mean we are in or more of the same.
Maybe it's time to move?

way off base with this one scats. Julia will not be able to resist the lure of the power.

To 9:41PM ~~ What makes it "way off base?" Sean wants the power. That doesn't mean no one else wants it. I just don't see him as "leadership" material and apparently, you don't either since you didn't mention it ;)

And I want to be president of the United States.

I'll see what it takes to get the teacher's union support before I announce formally!

SCATS, How do you know McCabe wants the power?

SCATS said...

To 10:20AM ~~ Ask him.

Well you're the one saying this sentiment is out there, so I am merely requesting that you tell me why he'd like the power. It's not that big of a request really

To 12:45PM ~~ I didn't say it was a big request. I suggested that you ask him, since you are doubting me. As for his motivation ... "why" ... I have no idea.

I doubt you because you list no source or reason for this determination of yours of why he wishes to be Board President.

To 3:15PM ~~ He stated he wants the position. He hasn't stated a reason that I'm aware of. Feel free to ask him directly, or not. It's up to you!

Let us never forget there are 5 members of this board who voted *NOT* to give the community a voice on the revised budget. 2 are leaving. McCabe would be one of the remaining 3. Those 3 are not deserving of respect much less a board officer position.
A board member should be a believer in democracy. A board officer even more so.
