For him it's only been three weeks, for us it's been FOREVER.

On the D*C article, Baxter said "this area" does not have a history of criminal activity. If he really said that, then he is completely out of touch with crime in Greece, because for years now, the apartment complexes in that area have seen their fair share of crime.

Todd did not look comfortable on tv

Was that Auberger who sounded off at the end of the press conference, checking up on his puppet?

Anyone go to this meeting last night?

Obviously no one commenting here attended last nights community event. NGN folks went and had positive things to say. If your "real" interest is to improve things and to work with others to accomplish that, then why don't you try participating instead of just sitting on your butts and whining and complaining without knowing what you're talking about first or even bothering to get involved.

I (really, really) hate to say it but blogger RJ went and is at least getting involved. Maybe you should take her lead (I can't believe I just said that!). Sniping and taking shots at our new Chief does nothing but show you don't really care.

Just my thoughts. Blast away.

To 10:21AM ~~ Wow! You make so many assumptions. You know what they say about that, right?

Since there are FOUR Meet & Greets scheduled, could you imagine that just MAYBE not everyone attended the first one? I heard last night was a total media love fest with Auberger & the entire Town Board in tow. I think he takes the title Supervisor way too far. It's really not his job to watch every step taken if he feels he hired the right guy (trustworthy) for the job.

NGN & that individual you mentioned attend meetings, talk into mics and hang ribbons. But what have they REALLY accomplished? Please name a change or two they are responsible for.

By the way, I've already met the chief ;) He talks the talk, but it's going to be hard for him to walk the walk with Uncle Auggie shadowing his every move. He's not perfect, but he's trying. Time will tell.

Hello Pot said the Kettle.

To 11:50AM ~~ Actually, if you bother to watch the news, you'd know my statement was factual! Uncle Auggie was even interviewed on camera by one station ;) That guy has major control issues.

Actually SCATS there was nothing factual in your comments that I reposted which you yourself confirmed when you used the phrase "I heard".

Now I have to ask you. Did you really "hear" that or are you simply making it up?

To 1:48PM ~~ Again, you assume things you should not! You never asked where I heard it, now did you? FYI, I watched the news videos & reports on YNN and channels 8, 10 & 13. I read their websites and also read the D&C's coverage. In addition to all of that, I talked to several people who attended the event. I'm very careful to avoid making generalizations I can't back up. Now that I've shown that your statement: "Actually SCATS there was nothing factual in your comments ..." is wrong, you owe me an apology :)

The real 'love fest' was a few NGN notables gushing over Baxter. One particular female (you get three guesses) sounded like she wanted to have his baby.

I went last night and am glad I did. It was a nice gathering and put together well.
I did not get to meet Mr. Baxter as I had to leave early.
I had the oportunity to ask about his presentation in which he used the word 'trust' several times.
That impressed me and I told him so. As we all know the lack of 'trust' in our police force can and has done damage that will not be fixed overnight. Mr. Baxter also understood that 'trust' cannot happen without honesty and integrety.

I was impressed with the man and wish him nothing but the best - our town needs and deserves a police dept. that can be 'trusted' and we can be proud of once again.

To 2:49 - Yup yup yup. But I think you meant his "puppies".

Disgustingly foolish and shallow behavior.

"Yay! The world is saved in one night! YAY!"

Where do you get those drugs? Happy pills like that must be very expensive.

To 12:47AM ~~ LMAO!!! That's hysterical!
