What is a Walts? Anything like a Waltz?

Nothing like a "waltz!" Steven Walts was a prior Super who absconded with the cookie jar.

It's not absconding if the table is set for him...by the BOE!

Wasn't the lifetime health benefit for Walts given well before we knew he was leaving. This was something to make him stay for at least 5 years. It was not given to him after he accepted a job somewhere else. Unless the board has given Steve 2 this benefit already they would not give it to him as a retirement gift. If they did it would mean he is leaving quietly and keeping something to himself as a quid pro quo.

To 11:11AM ~~ I don't know what you consider to be "well before" Walts left. My impression has always been that it wasn't that long before, but then I'm not sure whether I've ever seen discussion about the exact dates.

Regarding Achramovitch's situation, my understanding is that his contract provides him with lifetime health care should he retire immediately upon his departure from GCSD. In his case, I do believe he must pay the same percentage as he now contributes towards it.

Section 6 Benefits sub f. He does receive his benefits in his retirement with greece paying 90% for him and his spouse until they become eligible for medicare and then we pay 90% of the supplement. Is he really divorced or do we have to pay his wife he is separated from? At the time it was signed in Sept 2006 he was married to her.
And he has to be retired from any education job for us to cover this. Found this link by doing a search of Achramovitch candidate on google and a link to Scats from September 2006 came up. Interesting reading especially about how the board "rushed" to hire him.

To 11:37PM ~~ I believe that a more recent contract has Achramovitch paying a little more towards his own health care, 20% now. (See a previous BLOG on this topic: http://greeceschool2006.blogspot.com/2008/09/by-vote-of-7-to-2-boe-gives-supt-3-pay.html

Other than that, your info is accurate as far as I'm aware.

11:37 - Walts, divorced? What did you hear exactly?

To 5:41AM ~~ 11:37AM's comments related to Achramovitch. However, I heard Walts was headed for divorce sometime ago. Does it matter? Greece's BOE will find some reason to pay for all of his family BECAUSE THEY WANT TO.
