Tia Gerstner Offered Very Sweet Plea Deal In Fatal DWI Case!

Gerstner would have to plead guilty to second-degree vehicular manslaughter. In return, she would receive a sentence of 6 mo. in Monroe County Jail and 5 yrs. probation. Her driver's license would be suspended and she must agree to not appeal.

STORY

SCATS ~~ The DA's message seems to be that teens can get high and drunk, plow their cars into an innocent person's home resulting in death & destruction and serve only 6 months in jail to wipe the slate clean! No wonder crime in Rochester is skyrocketing! A similar attitude towards the teens in the Roderick Scott case was shown by ADA Finocchio this week too. She made some silly remark about how Cervini didn't deserve to die for some "stupid" teen activity of going through people's cars in the middle of the night.

Right on, Scats. Cervini and the other two were playing criminal - and sometimes you get burned - badly (in this case). It may have been stupid too - all criminal activity is.

It's sad that a foolish young man lost his life over something trivial. What's more sad is when the community and justice system make him out to be a victim - when he's not.

Ludicrous! She's an adult, try her as one. What a slap in the face to the kid (and his family) she helped to execute.

Justice is she forfeits her life for the crime.

Mercy, is she spends the rest of her working life paying back the family for the loss of their son. You can't do that in prison (waste of money) but it can be done.

To Graehaven ~~ Making out Cervini to be a victim is beyond sad. I contend it's yet another SIGN OF THE DYSFUNCTION that plagues all facets of Greece ~ Town govt, GPD & the schools!
