Olympia Librarian Asleep At The Helm

From the D&C's police reports:
Library electronics gone: A librarian at Greece Olympia High School, 1139 Maiden Lane, reported that someone had stolen a 1TB hard drive and a Sony Handicam from the library between Sept. 8 and Nov. 23.

SCATS ~~ I wonder how much technology & other equipment walks out the door and never gets reported ... ?

Scats: Why would you think it was anyone's job to keep track of technology items? It's not in their contract to do so!

I stole them-I used the money to go to Merritt Rahn's party

This employee should be made to replace these items. Not realizing something was missing for 3 months is no excuse.

Check to see if Walts is back in town. He is famous for taking technology equipment. He probably needed some upgrades and knew it would be easy to get from the GCSD.

Ever consider that the equipment may have been taken somewhere else in that "great" school and she has to take the blame? They usually make the "media specialists" file the reports for lost electronics from what I understand. Plus...the teachers in that building are not the brightest nor is the admin.

To 7:38PM ~~ I think something called a "sign out" sheet is used in such situations, isn't it? If the librarian is left holding the bag (empty) for other people's problems, then I would have to concur about not being the brightest bulb in the box. Sounds like time for some observations ;)

By the way, given how long the items were missing before anyone noticed would seem to speak to the fact that perhaps our investment in technology has been wasted. If it's not in use, was it really needed?

I say blame it on the admin at Olympia! She needs to go.

By contract all involved will get raises. Makes you proud.
