According to the judge:

1. Ball was denied vital information by his accusers and wouldn't be able to adequately defend himself

2. The case against him was water-thin at best (despite a grand jury indictment; going to show how much a grand jury can be lead by an over zealous, unrestrained Prosecutor).

Ball was "mobbed" by the very people that he served; the Judge saw it and did the morally right thing in a brightly lit courtroom.

It can't be any simpler. I now return this blog to the spin miesters.

To Capt ~~ I agree with you 100%. I am almost expecting something similar to happen with Trowbridge and/or Rahn's cases. What a mess!
