Moscato's got an excellent chance of winning. The other town board candidates seem to be MIA.

Sorry, but I'm not posting the derogatory comments attacking the candidate. Please go visit MoronsRanting where they welcome that sort of thing.

SCATS only allows derrogatory comments about REPUBLICAN candidates. NEVER against DEMOCRAT candidates!

Learn the rules people!!!

Actually, Bilsky is very active going door to door in the 2nd ward telling people how wonderful he is. But he is MIA for 8 years when it comes to doing anything on the town board except rubber-stamping everything that Auberger wants. The 2nd ward has virtually no representation with Bilsky other than someone who is an "enabler" for a messed up police department with the former cops hired by Augberger now convicted criminals, a convicted town assessor and co-conspirators during Bilsky's time in office, and a dysfuntional town government that runs 10 minute monthly board meetings to approve everything that was decided in private meetings. Not to mention that Auberger has destroyed Public Access television channel 12 and replaced it with TimeWarner running NOTHING in its place, while Bilsky said nothing! Just what Auberger and Bilsky want...total control with no public input or access. Oh..Bilsky tried once to be appointed to an open board of education seat. But he was rejected! Then he ran for town board. And he is a double-dipper.....enjoying a high paying Monroe County position. All that while on a Kodak pension. Not bad if you know the right people and do what you are told.
The 2nd Ward residents deserve to be represented and Joe Moscato will guarantee that their voices will be heard!

To 3:37PM ~~ For all of your bellyaching, I've yet to receive any comments saying something specific the Republicans have done that was positive, other than "Auberger keeps my road plowed."

Anonymous said...

Wasn't my point SCATS. I'll try again. My point is you allow derrogatory comments about republicans but refuse to allow derrogatory comments about democrats.

Very one-sided.

Scats: Auberger is keeping the tax rate down...does that count? LMAO teh rate is down.bwahahahah

SCATS said...

To 4:47PM ~~ That simply is not true and I know you know it, too.

By now, you should be aware that I don't allow "derrogatory" comments about physical appearances, name-calling, etc. It's too bad the people who support the Republicans can't figure out a way to attack the ideas/issues/philosophies in some sort of constructive way. Your inability to express yourself appropriately isn't my issue, it's yours ;)

SCATS said...

To Coffee ~~ Wait until you see how high that tax rate SKYROCKETS next year and on into the future after all those lawsuits get settled!!

Anonymous said...

Scats I was being sarcastic :)!

SCATS said...

To 6:09PM ~~ I realize that. I just think it's important to get the truth about taxes out as often as possible. There are so many uninformed people saying Auberger has kept their taxes low. POPPYCOCK!

Anonymous said...

They over-tax us and use the surplus to keep taxes down, they over-assess us and keep all that money, they say we are paying for 94 police officers, when, in fact, we have 70 something, if that.

That's how they keep taxes down.

Greece Post had a great article regarding we are the only Town in Monroe Counry that has a 4 yr. term for supervisor (implemented by our Supervisor) and that we are the only Town that can vote for only one Board member (our district) we should be able to vote for the entire Board. Something is just not right with this Town!

SCATS said...

To 6:52 & 7:52PM ~~ Great points, both of you!

I'll look at that Post article, thanks for the heads up ;)

Correction: They do not "over assess" us. Assessments are generally fair and uniform.
You may say they over tax us or "pre tax us" if tax rates generate extra large surpluses. I just want them to be honest about those sulpluses and not brag about it being about holding the spending rates.
Given the governor's current proposal to cut state spending (which I support) having fund balances will help off set the pain at school districts etc.

Just be honest about fund balances and that goes for all parties.

SCATS said...

To 5:10AM ~~ Many people (including myself) feel we were over-assessed when Schwab was fudging his numbers to support all his various schemes. We were never reassessed to ensure the assessments were all in order after that scandal.

Nor did we receive a refund. Nor does it give the government the right to charge more and take more to cover their own incompetence.

Nor does it pass the smell test when Kodak gives Firkins a big check that she forgets to "mention" that is then put towards building the commmunity "senior" center that Auberger claims was one of his "greatest achievements" when in fact it came to be as a result of the crimes committed against this community.

Once again, crime does pay. Like giving Merritt Rahn 10K was at no cost to taxpayers?

Nor does it pass the litmus test when Maggie proclaims she has not "raised taxes" when in fact the over assessment of properties puts more in her purse and less in our pockets. Rob Peter, pay Paul. Do they think we are stupid? Or is that another version of the "FAIR" plan we weren't told about? Maybe "I am him" Firkins forgot to type up the memo? Or maybe one of her EIGHT staffers were supposed to do it but never showed up for their "no-show" job?

Yeah, just about as stupid to believe that John Auberger and the Town Bored knew NOTHING was going on in the old Police Department.

The reality check comes in November. Pack your bags now those who claim that 1 Vince Toffany Drive belongs to you. It belongs to the people of the Town of Greece. And we're taking it back.

Pay attention to the SPENDING.

Too many variables can go into the 'tax rate'.

If SPENDING goes up 5% you can bet you are going to pay 5% MORE some way shape or form.
And if money comes out of 'reserves' - well thats YOUR money you already paid.

ALL elected officials must be held accountable for SPENDING - thats it.

I see Monroe Ranting has done Joe a big favor and reproduced his video on their site.

I don't think they are too swift, because I believe the purpose of that video was to get Joe's message out and they have just, at least, doubled his coverage.

They really have no sense of humor, it's like the corny commercials that you remember long after the serious ones have been laid to rest. This is advertising 101, folks, and they just don't get it.

I think "Uncle Rico" has changed his name, or else someone with the same brain power is posting there.

Hello SCAT Readers,

We need leaders “with Integrity” who will bring the cost of government into line with other communities in our area. This will result in lowering taxes! In Greece, the Republican Party has had such a dominant position that they have taken taxpayers for granted. Without challenge, they have over-assessed properties, taxed excessively, padded budgets, and rewarded party loyalists. This has resulted in the scandals which have embarrassed every Greece resident.

Every time I opened a newspaper and read about corruption in Greece or received my ever-increasing Town and County Tax Bill, it was apparent that the Greece “one party control” was not working. As a father with a young family and a mortgage, I knew the only way that the voice of the Greece community would be heard was by challenging the current Republican regime. My goal is to decrease taxes and increase accountability.

I look forward to the opportunity to set aside partisan politics and to work cooperatively for the best interests of all Greece residents. With your vote on November 3rd , I will bring a new voice to the Greece Town Board.

They say Joe was racing through a local park. Is that true?

SCATS said...

To 4:36PM ~~ Racing?? Gimme a break! If you think that is "racing" try taking a trip down Long Pond Rd around this time of day on a Friday!

Speaking of which, I just returned from that Long Pond/Latta area. Guess who appeared to be in the car speeding past me in the lane to my left? None other than Joe Loszynski!! He had a backseat filled with clothes on a rack & looked like he was headed to 390 ... a weekend home? I hope he's not coming back. Enough of our money has been wasted!

Joe was chasin' down Billy Bob Bilsky who was speeding down Long Pond on his way to the scene of yet another cover-up of the Auberger administration down on 1 Vinnie Toffany.

I heard he had to rush to the town hall. Something about Firkins breaking a nail?

I am really surprised that the Auberger group would imply that all senior citizens are "crazy old coots". After all, that is his constituency, the group he caters to, and they will not like it at all that he considers anyone over 65 as "crazy."

Remember that all you seniors out there, Auberger may shake your hand and say nice things to you, in order to get your vote, but in reality he considers you to be a doddering old fool.

I hope no children or deer were injured by Moscato's reckless antics. That's really out of control, imho. I'm actually concerned for Joe's own safety. Who tells him to do things like this?

I think most people fail to pick up the message in Joe's videos. As I recall, last summer there was a video of Joe on a jet ski, and now his latest racing video.

The message to me is clear, that even though at age 75 Joe qualifies as a senior citizen, he still has a young and competitive spirit and sees things that appeal to both young and old life styles. This is a great quality, in my opinion.

I know Joe from the restaurants that we frequent. I happen to know that while he is smart and mentally sharp, his physical condition is reflective of his years. I understand that he postponed back surgery earlier this year in order to run for the board. He plans to have the surgery after the election to be ready to take office in January.

Jokingly, Joe told me recently that without the surgery his racing days will be relegated to a motorized wheelchair with Mopar and NASCAR decals. Only Joe could be so casual about his serious physical problem.

To 9:47AM ~~ What kind of java are YOU drinking? There was nothing RECKLESS about anything in the video. There's no one anywhere in sight except the people doing the video. Now if you'd like, we could compare what you see in this video to Auberger's millions of dollars of shenanigans. Just let me know. I need a head start. The list is REALLY long!

To 9:27AM ~~ I saw Auberger wandering around Town Hall yesterday and let me tell you something, he's looking pretty worn and frail! He walks around all hunched over, he looks like he's lost a lot of weight recently along with considerable amounts of his hair. Stress is taking its toll. We really need to let him retire and take care of himself.
