Trowbridge Gets Deal From DA; Auberger's Memory Fails Him

Parrinello Claims Trowbridge Has Been "Bought Off"

Cooperation agreement: if Robert Trowbridge tells the truth on the witness stand, the DA will drop the felony count and ask for no jail time

"Trowbridge got the deal of the century. If he comes in and tells the truth in quotations. He's got to tell the truth in the perception of the D.A.'s mind. They bought him off. They bought him off. Trowbridge to save his own butt has turned on Merritt Rahn." ~~ John Parrinello

In a related story ...

Parrinello failed to get charge against Rahn dropped in Pignato hiring case;

Auberger's affadavit shows he admits he met Parrinello in his office and that Pignato was recommended to be hired, but can't recall if Pignato was present.

Auberger denied request for interview

SCATS ~~ Something is starting to SMELL really bad here. I'm getting the distinct impression that the DA's office is "helping" Auberger ... and anyone else they must "help" to continue to protect Auberger ... even if it's to the detriment of other people, specifically Merritt Rahn ...

The DA hates Auburger; but he does need concrete evidence.

"even if it's to the detriment of other people, specifically Merritt Rahn"

Ahhh, and the implicit sympathy from SCATS for Merrit Rahn begins to leak out.

To 11:41AM ~~ How does the word detriment get translated into sympathy? A tiny mind is a dangerous thing ;)

Theres much more to this story but the people of Greece wont get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth until long after election day. Then Auberger will have some splainin to do........lots of it.

I agree with 12:56. The residents who pay the bills will be the last to know. Just another reason why Auberger MUST GO.

Green is in bed with the Republicans. He may dislike Auberger, as many do, but although he is called a Democrat he takes his cues from Maggie, and company.

He has had more than enough evidence to go after Auberger, but he hasn't and we have to wonder why? He has been told to lay off. Have you ever seen an indictment withdrawn as in the case of the Penfield Town Board Member accused in the Robutrad scandal. Political pressure was put on Green, it's the only reason he would do that.

Isn't there something fishy about a lawyer defending someone about hiring Pignato and it was evidently not good that they hired Pignato but said lawyer was recommending and demanding that they hire Pignato. Doesn't anyone see something arrogant about that?
Why was Parrinello so eager to find that eventual convicted felon a job? Since his judgement is so shaky why would Rahn want him for a lawyer? I'm no fan of Rahn but whoa....maybe he should rethink his lawyer. Or is Parinello working pro bono to protect his own background and have insider information as this case rolls forward? That's it.
