SCATS Endorses Shawn Lavin for Ward 3

SCATS endorses Shawn Lavin to serve in Greece's 3rd Ward as our Town Board Representative. Lavin speaks realistically about his aspirations to renew the 3rd ward to a community where crime is reduced through better support of Greece PD's efforts and he promotes the revival of neighborhood watch groups in the area. He wants to improve the aging infrastructure of this neglected part of Greece and spur economic development by filling now vacated businesses. His down-to-Earth approach causes him to question the lavish reserve fund totals retained in the budget by the current Auberger administration. Lavin believes the Town of Greece CAN reduce taxes. He is selfless and possesses a strong sense of duty to community which he showed through his military service record in the US Air Force following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I give my full support to Shawn Lavin on November 3rd and urge you to do so as well.

Didn't know much about Shawn until the Northgate forum. Wow!
This Republican wishes Shawn was running for supervisor, instead of town board. Impressive. (I'm still voting for Maloney!)

Honesty and integrety is always #1 and I believe this man has it and I wish him nothing but the best.

Bad ad, good guy. Make him look like a farmer or a goof ball. Who does those ads?

Lavin's got my vote too. Intelligent. Creative. Knowledgable. Impressive. He'll work for the people.

Third Ward has its share of problems and seen the people moving out because of them....too much crime, gangs of kids causing trouble, vacant stores, rundown appearance, people selling their homes to landlords who don't abide by town codes (and those code enforcers being negligent at their jobs). Now the study of calming traffic down Dewey and making it "pedestrian friendly" (due to come out in January)...

my vote goes to Shawn Lavin for having the ambition and concern to help us out here in this ward! Finally--a candidate who CARES. Best of luck to him!

Shawn's going to have his hands full with the new Northgate renovation project and making sure now Widewaters doesn't get away with anything anymore; it'll also be interesting to see what new businesses he and Dan Maloney bring to the 3rd ward...but there is much faith that they can and will do it.

I remember the old days of Neighborhood Watch-too bad it got abandoned (people moving? nobody cared?). Everyone is hoping property values will be enhanced with the anticipated changes. Living in this area has had the advantage of living in close proximity to everything...390, the Parkway, Irondequoit, the lake, downtown. I'm sure it will once more become a thriving, vibrant place to live with the necessary oversight it will take to implement the changes.

Thanks to Shawn Lavin for wanting to take on this task!
