In-Fighting Among Greece Democrats? Or Is It The Republicans?

UPDATE ~~ 12:30PM : From an email - "The INFIGHTING is in the REPUBLICAN PARTY - not the DEMS.

The Riley family is SO furious with the Greece GOP in putting Antelli in the 7th when they wanted Riley's son to have it that they are now supporting MALONEY."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For several weeks, rumors of in-fighting among Greece Democrat campaign workers and supporters have swirled about town. In my opinion, NOTHING GOOD could come from such behavior. If you can't get along with the people who agree with you, how will you be able to convince others to sign onto your candidate's platform? Supporting a candidate should NOT be about personal power within your party/campaign! Rather, it should be about mutual cooperation while working towards a common goal - election of your candidate.
This "Thumb's Down" entry from the D&C says it all:
poor supporters (submitted by realGREECEdemocrat)
"Big thumbs down to those who say they are supporting what is a great candidate, but act so crazy and belligerent that they actually hurt my candidate's campaign. Fighting with other supporters of the same guy. Calling undecided voters stupid for not already agreeing with you. 2 examples of how to alienate the votes you are trying to get. Are you secretly supporting the opposition?"
This is not news. Greece Democrats shoot themselves in the foot better than most. They've had a lot of practice.
It would appear that Uncle Rico has changed his name to Real GREECEDemocrat. He has done more harm to the Democrats with his little message than any rift in the party could ever cause.
Anyone who believes that this is a REAL Greece Democrat is terribly gullible.
To 11:54AM ~~ There is a subtle difference between the name you cited and realGREECEdemocrat who posted in the D&C. Did you intend to show that difference?
It is probably both parties with infighting but that thumbs down was for a supporter of the Democrat candidate.
You don't need to speculate. Even within the Greece blog world, we have 2 blog authors endorsing Maloney yet not only not banding together, but one being offensively confrontational to the other. And it is because one author is more concerned with herself than with her supposed cause.
I wrote the Thumbs Down, and I am a Democrat, and I support Maloney. But instead of educating undecideds, some blog authors just want to belittle and alienate them. Way to go!
SCATS, you might instigate but when it comes down to getting your message across I can read a well thought out intelligent post from you. I have yet to see that elsewhere on blogspot. Instead, other bloggers get picked on and called names. There is no dialogue. "Because I said so" is not a good enough answer from Auberger, and it isn't a good enough answer from someone else we know who twists the truth, takes undue credit, points fingers and picks fights from within.
Still writing your own comments??
To 1:10PM ~~ Unlike some people, I have no need to do that. Thanks for chiming in.
Heated exchanges happen in both camps. Resolving them quickly is key. Some do this better than others. I'll leave it to your imagination to figure out which is which.
There's a big surprise. Someone on this site posts incorrect information. I wish there was a name.
"Anyone who believes that this is a REAL Greece Democrat is terribly gullible."
Well, 11:54, why don't you ask 12:47. He/She is right here and can probably provide you with some FACTS.
To 1:59PM ~~ You ask a good question. I'll be interested in the response (if any).
Re: "incorrect information." I know some folks like to claim that what someone else says is "wrong." The difficulty in such situations as these is distinguishing between fact and opinion. I don't know that there is any way to measure Uncle Rico's potential impact on the Democrats, but 11:54AM is entitled to believe the statement they made. If you know of a way to discern the difference in cases like these, please share.
That wasn't my point SCATS. I was informing 11:54 that 12:47 was the writer of the D&C thumbs down. 11:54 can ask directly if 12:47 is both a republican and uncle rico, as he claimed.
Please see: Anyone who believes that this is a REAL Greece Democrat is terribly gullible.
What I was trying to say is that no real Democrat (however they spell it) would put out for publication something that is so inherently damaging to the Democrats as to be beyond belief.
What I am surmising is that it has to be a Republican (someone like Uncle Rico) who would get their nasty little cheap shots out by calling themselves a real Democrat.
This is not beyond the realm of possibility.
Since when does everyone who is voting for the same candidate have to like each other?
When people go to the polls, the only thing they see are the names and levers in front of them-and that's all that matters.
I already said that I am a Democrat (a registered Democrat) and I am voting for Maloney. I believe in him. I don't believe in people who self-proclaim to be educating the people of Greece so that they can make informed decisions and then mock or slam not only just the political opponent but other supporters and even undecideds. It hurts the cause to view everyone as the enemy. Imagine someone who hasn't made up their mind yet being given a link to rambling half-truths and rude comments about someone who is trying to agree. What a poor impression to give about the intentions of our candidate's supporters.
re: 3:07 pm : "Since when does everyone who is voting for the same candidate have to like each other?"
They don't have to like each other but to deliberately try to discredit for no other reason than to be the alpha dog is a shame and poor timing when every vote counts. It does't have to be a love-fest, but people should spend their energy working against the bad guy instead of creating more of them within our own group of supporters.
That fact remains that it is happening, even if you want to believe that a Republican is the one talking about it.
The dysfunction in the Greece Democrat party is almost epic. Yes there's infighting. And power struggles. Look at the people working on these campaigns. They love to rumble. Having said that, it's true of the Republicans too. Talk about control issues. lol
Believe me...there isn't anything that Dems can do (even on blogs) that can compare to the outrageous, illegal & unethical tricks the Republicans have been doing for quite awhile now.
They don't need any help from people "banding together to work against the bad guy"--the bad ones have already done the work to themselves for us :).
If you want multiple personalities, check out Diane and her many Halloween costumes:
Dawg the County Hunter
Wicked Wiccan Witch of the West
I'd say she was being obvious on purpose but then why make your profile private all of a sudden? We can still tell it is her though, and not just from the writing but from the digital footprint she left behind.
I thought this had to do with Moscato bringing down Maloney because of all his antics.
Joe's town hall tanked and Maloney didn't look happy while he was there. Out of a ward of roughly 24,000, less that 15 people showed up.
I heard they got a talking to from the higher ups in the Dem party to stop doing the silly things.
To 5:08PM ~~ Don't worry. They have treatments for those voices in your head ;) Better yet, it's OK to not listen to them.
Do you believe they even know what you mean by a digital footprint? I bet they are talking to each other on the phone and looking at the bottom of their shoes right now. lmao
@SCATS 5:28 - why do you always use a legitimate disability that some people sadly have to sarcastically insult people here?
To 6:23PM ~~ That's funny! Now we're supposed to make allowances for potentially mentally challenged BLOGGERS? I think not. At least not here. This close to elections, the "I heards" have become epidemic. Especially when they aren't backed up with anything.
Scats- Don't you love how the costume got dropped to complain about you? Too funny LOL
To 5:08 PM DG, one would think you have better things to do with your time, don't you, other than trying to feed your obsession?
