On Sept. 11th, SCATS BLOGGED about Berkeley Brean's report that Greece residents shouldn't be frightened by military exercises scheduled to begin at 7AM on Sept. 12th, the next day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the Sept. 12th D&C:
" ... three months ago, they started working with Greece to set up the training exercise. The battalion hasn't had a training exercise such as this since 2004."
"John Auberger, who is the son of the town supervisor, was out with his son Jack, 5, and daughter Alyson, 2."
"He (Jack) just saw the G.I. Joe movie, so he is really into this right now,'' Auberger said. "This was the talk of the ride home from school yesterday. He couldn't wait."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • The Town Board voted to approve this event at an emergency meeting less than 72 hrs. before the exercise was scheduled to begin;
  • Media warned uninformed residents on the anniversary of September 11th, a mere 14 hrs. prior to the start of the training;
  • BUT Mr. Auberger had THREE MONTHS PRIOR KNOWLEDGE? And his 5 yr. old grandson knew before the rest of us???
This demonstrates very clearly that we, the taxpayers of Greece, can't get onto Mr. Auberger's or the current Town Board's radar screens. They do not respect us.

We apparently have a "he said, she said" identity crisis in Greece. Today's D&C quotes our $400,000 special unbiased independent (you want to buy a bridge..price reduced today only!) police dept. investigator Joe Loszynski, and only Loszynski, telling how Pignato's bad behavior was known early on. I guess we now have another "I AM HIM" working at town hall. So Firkins says"I AM HIM" but then Loszynski says no, "I AM HIM". Gosh, I guess the real HIM is too busy telling fantasies on the Lonsberry show to actually do any real work on behalf of the town.
And by the way, when are we going to stop paying Loszynski $5000 a week or whatever plus use of a new Ford Fusion bought for him to regurgitate the same information over and over. Can't Auberger do any of the heavy lifting? Oh, I forgot, he doesn't get involved once a person is hired. He trusts them to do a fine job. I guess Loszynski will have to terminate himself or he will be here forever. Maybe the "other" I AM HIM should step up and end Loszynski's contract since Auberger is preoccupied.
Kind of brings new meaning to the ghosts at Halloween. Where is Auberger? Did I catch a glimpse of him in the dark at town hall? Were there footsteps heard coming from his office? What is that dark shadow in his town owned personal vehicle?
And who was that standing in front of the 4 town board members and having them do a full inspection and present arms of their rubber stamps. One speck of dirt on those important tools of Republican government and you have to make an even larger donation to the Auberger PAC which secretly funds all the town board members campaigns.
Everytime I see a lawn sign for Auberger, I just want to stop and ring the doorbell and ask the homeowner how they can be dumb enough to actually support that cancer that has infested our once proud town. As PT Barnum was quoted, you can fool some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
On Tuesday we hope and pray that only a minority of Greece voters were fooled by Auberger and his evil empire!

Let's provide our children with age inappropriate entertainment, and then complain that they grow up too fast. GI Joe is rated PG13.

La Familia Costra Nostra. That's what it's like living in Greece.

To 10:03AM ~~ Oddly, I was thinking that very same thought when I read about Moscato's mailer disappearing from the same PO as before. Maybe we should become known as "Not So Little Sicily." Who got the horse's head this election?

PS ~~ Don't anyone even waste your time typing some dumb comment about racism.
