Candidate's Night at FBBC ...

... A friend provided this overview of his impressions for me:

Candidates each had 3 minutes to speak, but no questions were taken from the audience.

John Auberger ~~ Spent his 3 minutes shouting his outrage over campaign donations made by Linda Stephens and the fact that she is suing him and the Town of Greece over prayers given at Town Board meetings. Now she can sue us again, for defamation.
Kathy Trimmer ~~ "Exceptional" ... talked about her top secret security clearance and stated that she is an accredited security expert with information technologies. She wants to apply the same level of commitment to the residents of the Town of Greece.
Kathleen Turner ~~ Noted her experience in working at a bank previously & her service to Greece without any problems.
Mark Coon ~~ "Phenomenal"
Jo Meleca-Voigt ~~ Reminded crowd that Greece residents have a choice for the first time in years
Dan Maloney ~~ Challenged Auberger to a debate again. Of course, Jack ignored it to go on a rant about Linda Stephens ...
Karl Nielsen ~~ Delivered a solid speech despite a few blips
Bob Bilsky ~~ Sounded arrogant as he claimed things in Greece are just fine and thanked Maggie Brooks whose leadership resulted in no tax increase.
Karen Lee-Byfield ~~ Out of town, so couldn't attend.
Joe Moscato ~~ Talked about how his 23 yrs. as a cop would help him to rebuild the Greece PD
Shannon O'Keefe ~~ Touted her role as a wonderful step-mother.
Shawn Lavin ~~ Gave a very solid speech and was applauded for his military service.
Andy Conlon ~~ Said he wants to "give back" to Greece since he's lived here his whole life (all 23 yrs. of it).
Kirk Morris ~~ Cited his connections to Robach (who came in 30 minutes late), claimed he's done so much for Greece and stated that he is a parishioner at FBBC.

All four judicial candidates spoke:

Campbell ~~ Well spoken, talked about his years of experience on the courts in Greece
Nitti ~~ Spoke about his accomplishments on the bench, although not as eloquently as Campbell did.
Bill King ~~ Talked about his love of his community, and how he has also served as an EMT, and an attorney.
Indivino ~~ Spoke about wanting to give back, and how her husband worked at Kodak for 30 years, and that they are dedicated to their community.

Pastor Grace ~~ Eloquent, sincere, and dedicated.
The crowd ~~  Reserved and polite.

The reception afterwards featured "an incredible meal with enough food to feed the entire city school district population."

Meleca-Voigt (at my front door) suggest I should support her because she supports spreading the wealth. I said thanks for the insight and closed the door.

Way to go, Auberger. As if we don't have enough lawsuits to settle already. Change can't come soon enough. ONE MORE WEEK. Start packing!

The arrogance displayed by the incumbent Republicans last night was overwhelming. They EXPECT to win and EXPECT that voters will continue to worship at their feet. Those that do should not look up as the sight of the emperor with no clothes would be downright disgusting!
The challengers last night clearly showed that they deserve the opportunity to lead Greece back to Pride and Respect as a community. Voting for anyone except Republicans will give "oxygen" to our town government and get us on the track to open and honest town government.

Once again (it's getting very tiresome folks, but I WILL outlast you), I'm rejecting comments that claim what I posted something "untrue" or what someone has written isn't true but then totally fail to "correct" the record. Bashing someone just for the heck of it doesn't fly on this BLOG.

This appears to be from a morons ranting post about a donation that Linda gave to Joe Muscato.

Apparently in the spirit of another Joe, Joe McCarthy they think Linda is anti American and subversive.

Therefore anyone who get a contribution from her must be a subversive.

Uncle Rico is getting perilously close to a libel law suit.

For the record, it's Joe MOscato. There is a candidate (from Gates I think) whose name is Frank MUscato.

Auberger needs to stop pointing his finger and blaming "those people" for all the things he and his people have done.

I thought Auberger was only angry with Rahn. Now he's got a beef with anybody who doesn't fall in line with him? Good luck with that Jack.
His true color is yellow - too afraid to debate.

Was Antelli there?

The only thing surprising about Auberger's outburst is his target. I guess he's smart enough to know he can't yell lies about his opponent in front of such a well educated crowd. So he chose someone less well known. Too bad he has nothing to say to us about all of the issues facing this community. He's full of hot air.

PS Raena Formacola –Zissis works for constituent services.

Here is the question
What is a (very) partial list of the employees of the Town of Greece a few ex employees and political groupies who are giving (perhaps under coercion) to the Auberger campaign?

Essentially Auberger is funding his campaign out of our tax money. It is paid in salaries to his employees (other county employees) who then kick back some it to him.

Isn't the pot calling the kettle black Uncle Rico

If I'm in the mood I'll post more cronies later.
This is only from one list in 2009.

Linda Sofia as in Mikes ( Rotary) Sofia's wife :)!

Gail Burge also works at Greece Town Hall as full time secretary to the John Auberger

Mike Sofia as in Gen. Mgr. of Doan GM really bad deals and service Dealership.

SCATS said...

To 5:44PM ~~ While I can appreciate your opinion, please don't begin a discussion on quality of services from local retailers. I'm not planning to branch out in that direction. Sofia is quite active in the Chamber. Maybe you could complain to them?

Personally, I took my longtime business with Doan out of Greece last time I bought a car. Guess what? I was very pleasantly surprised! I had a no-stress, no hassle experience and got a much better deal than anyone in Greece had to offer. And the service dept. at this place really rocks too ;)

Maloney's latest radio ad includes the names of all the local bad boys and associates them with Auberger. Note: of all those named, only Auberger is not a loyal union man. Interesting, Mr. Maloney!

SCATS said...

To 5:52AM ~~ Why don't you tell us those names? Because you like to imply something more than reality? If they are names like Nick Joseph, Gary Pignato, Brian Ball, etc. all I can say is DUH! Of course our cops are union. All cops are union.

Anonymous said...

I don't understand what the big deal about leading a union is--Ronald Reagan was Pres. of Actors Guild and he went on to become President of U.S. of course.

I think someone who accepts that role is obviously a "can do" person, not afraid to confront issues, doesn't have to hide, able to work with people and have discussions.

Anonymous said...

only Dan Maloney tried to get the job because you can't layoff union bosses. It was a smart move to protect himself while letting the rank and file fend for themselves.

Anonymous said...

Hey..if that job was up for grabs, others could've tried for it, too.

Must be raining out that the bloated unemployed _______ can't go out and have lunch with Merritt Rahn today.

So we have some extra time on our hands to play in the blogosphere.

Scats, I have a question. If a person collects rent, don't they have to report it as income? What happens if they don't?

SCATS said...

To 9:20PM ~~ I've never been a landlord so I'm not going to attempt answering that question. It sounds like you want to begin some sort of game. I'm probably not going to go along with it, but you can try and I'll see where you take this.
