He's Serious About This Campaign Business

Well Jack, I agree that lying to residents is serious business!

It says Big Bad John "Immediately met with DA Mike Green to root out corruption"
Did he forget to mention that Green "rebuffed him"?

A palm card featuring Auberger & Bilsky claims they will: "Expand the Quality of Life Programs Greece Residents Rely On - Our library & Community & Senior Center provide over 1500 free and low cost programs."

Did he forget to mention that the Friends of the Greece Public Library raises $50,000+ per year to fund the ADULT & CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS because he keeps their budget too low to include them?

Maybe Greece residents should forget to vote for Jack!

BLOG Administration deleted the previous comment for focusing on Auberger's "evil look."

Why is he using his campaign literature to brag about a taxpayer funded investigation that's still in process? why is he bragging that he's eliminated Rahn's "failed policies" when Rahn hasn't had his hearing or day in court yet? Why doesn't he tell us all about those new safeguards he implemented? I haven't heard him talk about those, have you?

If Rahn's policies failed why isn't Auberger at fault too.
Doesn't he get it?

About those "1500 free and low cost programs" at the library and Community & Senior Center -

Scats is 100% correct about the library. In fact, the library is purposely under-funded because they know those ladies who volunteer will go out and make up for it! I remember the previous library director promising longer hours, staying open Sundays, etc. "when we get our new central library." Of course, IT NEVER HAPPENED!!!

Which brings me to my second point-

The Community & Senior center doesn't permit AARP to meet there once a month, unless they pay to rent the room! It's ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE!!! AARP was forced to move out of West Ridge Community Center AND PROMISED A NEW HOME "once the new Senior & Community Center gets built." They still use the Town Board meeting room unless it's needed for other business and then they have to squeeze into a smaller room across the hallway.

Not only was that promise broken, but after Firkins took over the services previously handled at Maiden Ln (Dept of Human Services), suddenly all of the community groups that got reduced rates to rent Braddocks lodge midweek (the non-busy days with few bookings) could no longer get those deals. She claimed she "knew nothing!" Sounds just like good old Johnboy, doesn't it?.

SEE A TREND HERE WITH THE REDUCTIONS IN SERVICES?

The whole library funding situation is just plain ridiculous in Greece. They build a mega-palace to house it in, but refuse to fund the programs and services adequately. It's been the whipping boy of town budget tactics for decades and it needs to stop. Auberger seems proud at the soaring circulation numbers. In fact, he'd like everyone to believe he caused them. But he just won't pony up and provide the funds. The "Friends Group" has to buy everything from book shelves to computers besides paying for the Summer Reading Program the adult programs and all the other special programs and events held there. It's such a shame we can't get adequate funding to be open at least a few hours on Sundays like smaller towns.

Yeah, then you woke up.

So which person is lying about the DA, Reilich or Auberger? It sounds to me like Reilich is trying to cover Jack's backside but didn't realize the campaign mailer contained a different spin. Good job uncovering the discrepancies SCATS.

Woah Jackie, oh Jackie, don't treat me so mean, you're the meanest old man that I've ever seen.

I guess if you said so then you'll have to pack your things and go.
