Can Merritt Rahn Survive Auberger's (Loszynski's) Probe?

He's been in trouble before, but still kept his job as Chief of Greece Police. Some of the charges against him now stem back to unresolved troubles from years ago.

Can he come out on top again? If he does, should we worry about more corruption down the road?

WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THIS MESS?
RAHN? AUBERGER? BOTH?

Read the 4 new Additional Specifications (charges) against Rahn

Is it that Parrinello is trying to save Rahn's job by defending him against these charges? Of course they're going to pile on everything they can..Courts only go by "the letter of the law", not "the spirit of the law".

I know in this country you're innocent until proven guilty..but because of the extensive cover-ups, lies, deception, criminal behavior of already imprisoned cops..it makes Rahn appear to be an ineffective Police Chief (to say the least) on that alone.

It goes without saying that to be a good leader, you must first be a good example--and neither Auberger (who's in charge of the Police Dept and is their "boss") or Rahn deserve to hold their positions any longer. The trust is gone, and residents like myself want the integrity restored in this town. I hope Rahn spills the beans about Auberger because no one seems to be doing an "investigation" on HIM.

(in regards to your poll: Assuming Merritt Rahn's hearing is public, who stands to gain the most from it?

you left out a choice: tv news stations...they love a feeding frenzy.

and btw: it is open to the public, it was reported.

To Diane ~~ As I said previously, Parrinello has REQUESTED that it be held in public. Media has reported that it is LIKELY to be public. I suspect most of the seats will be taken up by media since Greece Town Hall can't accomodate a large ghathering. I'll be selling hot dogs, popcorn, soda and the official Merritt Rahn striped jailbird t-shirts :D.

I'm surprised to see that a few believe Auberger can gain from the circus Parrinello has planned. I just don't see that happening.

OH, so it's not definite. And yes..the media from all over will be reporting on this.

And Scats..you will be right there near Town Hall to get your vendor's license ;).

I wonder if they'll allow tailgate parties?

This morning I got a robo call from King John Auberger advising me I would be getting a letter in the mail outlining the rsults of the Police Department investigation. I expect poor little John will try to convince us that he was the innocent victim of a Police Department conspiracy to get him to hire former officers Joseph and Pignato. Garbage!

The king should take responsibility for his mistakes. If he had admitted this fact initially, I would have had much more respect for him.

He should stop spending my money to further his political future. This forthcoming letter which I will pay for is nothing more than an effort by him to convince us peasants to keep him around for another four years.

Enough is enough! No one is buying it. Stop spending my money to get reelected. Use some of that $150,000 in your Friends of Auberger fund and take out an ad. By the way, this ad should be in the form of an apology for trashing the reputation of Greece as the self-proclaimed absolute ruler of Greece.

You don't have to worry about a job, Maggie will take good care of you just as she did for Bilsky when he lost his job a short time ago.

So Parinello has stated that Rahn's waving his privacy rights? Good.

The shot at Bilsky makes me wonder. Mr. Moscato is that you?

C'mon, where id all you Meritt Rahn supporters go? Let's get behing him because you all think he's such a great guy. You've been defending him for months now. Don't stop now when he needs you most!

To 3:48PM ~~ I'm jealous! I didn't get a call. Does that mean I won't get a letter either? Are you a registered Republican by chance?

To 3:56PM ~~ Really, it's not necessary to take time out from Happy Hour just to come on here and leave your comments ;)

How's it going to go when Rahn says he only did what he was "told" to do?

I never thought I'd be rooting for Parrinello, but I can't wait til he takes Auberger down.

It's not really a matter of defending Rahn, he has a pretty good lawyer capable of doing that, but of making Auberger accountable for HIS actions

I wondered what that was. The robo call must have started talking before my message finished so all I heard was look for the letter. Can't wait:)!!

They must only be going out to registered Rep's...I only get the calls from Louise Slaughter (I don't listen to those either).

Being on Louise Slaughter's call list = now there's something to proud of.

To 3:40 p.m. - No, I'm not Mr. Moscato, I only mentioned Bilsky because he is the most recent in a long list of Greece Republicans who work for Maggie, like Helfer, Barry, etc., etc., etc.

You do her favors and you get a job. It's as simple as that.

bilsky is uninformed about the most basic of town issues

Hey..I'm a registered Dem so it's going to happen.

Auberger calls are nothing to brag about either ;).

I would never have guessed you were a democrat Diane.
And you are proud of your party for what?
