Why did it take from Aug. 3rd to Aug. 20th for this story to hit the news?

SCATS-
I think it's great that you are bringing attention to this. I'm sure his family appreciates any extra help they get with solving his disappearance.

Greece is kind of like the Bermuda Triangle for bad news. Chit happens, but the stories have trouble getting out!

There was a truck parked in the old car lot on the corner for a while a couple of weeks back was that it?

To 3:15PM ~~ Technically, that would be at the corner of Latona and Ridge ... but who knows?

Christopher Pattison age 31 lives at 1147 Fetzner Rd just a half mile north of the parking lot.
The missing man's "aunt" Heather is 38 and lives in the city and has the last name of Marvin but did have the last name of Stewart. There was a money judgement against James Pattison and James Stewart so is this Stewart an ex of the aunt? Source Monroe county web site, white pages dot com and

To 3:52PM ~~ I do not know. Even if the connection is there, this fellow went to mow a lawn in Sodus and never was heard from again. How does that relate to him disappearing?

Just wondered why under those circumstances he would be in that vicinity. Maybe was visiting a relative before he took 104 to get to Sodus.
How many times have you taken the id out of your wallet? I only do when I am at the bank. Don't get proofed too much for buying liquor anymore:) except at Wegmans where they proof everyone.
Also one would show their license to a cop if stopped. many times they pull someone over on a busy street and make them pull into a parking lot. Then they ask you to take it out of the wallet. Only know that from watching COPS:)
Not to make light of this but I hope they are not depending on the Greece police or the city police to help with this. The FBI should be involved because it looks like a kidnapping at least. And it looks like it could be a cop involved or someone pretending to be a cop.

To 5:15PM ~~ It's not clear in the story whether he showed up to mow that lawn or not. The one source says he vanished sometime between Aug. 3rd and Aug. 6th.

Yes and it doesn't say if his mower was still in the blue pickup truck. Maybe someone carjacked him in Sodus or somewhere between Sodus and Greece and left the truck there and are using the contents of his wallet. Maybe the family didn't know where the truck was until they were notified by the police. It seems strange that they would have been able to find the truck on their own.
There is a lot not reported and the community can't help unless they know where he was last seen.
There are stories about police stopping people and their licenses and registration not being up to the law and just leaving the person on their own to find their own way home.
