Calling All Republican Candidates For The Upcoming Greece Election!!

People are asking about you!

Where are your bios?
Your webpages?
Your interviews with media?

If you don't step-up and share your background info and positions on the issues, how can you expect to get elected?

Maybe it is because this web site permnits criticism of Republicans by name (Auberger for example) but not Democrats (Moscata). Maybe?

Media interviews??

Auberger's already called enough attention to himself...AND the town, thank you very much.

The repub candidates aren't allowed to release their own material without approval from the deputy supervisor. He and the supervisor's secretary coordinate and control all greece gop business during their normal work hours. This is not a myth, it's fact.

To 6:48AM ~~ So you are suggesting that SCATS has so much power that the Republicans are in hiding, refusing to create bios, post them on their own website, do media interviews, etc! VERY INTERESTING!!

This site permits criticism, by name, of the person's behavior that relates to their office, candidacy, etc. It does not accept short statements that call a person an idiot, stupid or retarded, or simply attacks their appearance, family members, etc. Saying that Auberger's decision to hire Pignato on Rahn's recommendation was irresponsible because he knew Pignato's history is not the same thing as saying Auberger is stupid for hiring Pignato. See the difference?

I posted a comment on the Greece Dem website and want you all to know that it was edited. I offered a suggestion, and stated that I was supporting Mr. Lavin and why. I have asked for a reason for the edit and have yet to get an answer. I guess they are filtering the information they are not prepared to answer.

To 9:20AM ~~ You didn't state the manner in which it was edited. That matters, at least it does on here. Sometimes, it's necessary to delete or reject postings entirely due to the lack of acceptable content. My boundaries are fairly wide, but I won't be bullied into posting something outrageous (my call) merely because someone wants it posted. It's not possible to be entirely objective all of the time, but I do my best.

Scats, Edited content: "there is a link on our Town website that residents can use to find thier ward"

Are they so unsure of their success in the upcoming election that they have to edit out information that could help people identify who they can vote for? It is a good tool so that constituents can read about and get to know who maybe elected to serve them.

SCATS said...

To 9:45AM ~~ I just looked at the Town's "tool." IMHO it's basically useless unless you get luck enough to actually be given the name of the council person and a phone number. That's ALL it tells you.

Really the republicans ought to step up defend their record or say why and how they are going to change. What is the fear in having an open discussion.

My own opinion in that the party and its leaders have become a bit paranoid about criticism. They see enemies in the media and everywhere. The opposite of course is true.

Here's another tactic by the "powers that be". The word is out that Jack Auberger will try to delay both Mackin's and Rahn's hearings until after the November 3election. He has informed the selected hearing officer that the Town's taxpayer funded investigation is not complete and more time is needed to gather supporting facts to support the 40 odd charges.

The bill for Lozsinki and his eight troopers has exceeded $300,000 so far and is climbing.

The question is how much longer are we taxpayers going to sit back, let Auberger spend our money for his reelection. Another question is where are the Democrats? They seem to have left town. Why isn't the Supervisor candidate not jumping all over this free-fall open check book spending by Auberger to stall the Rahn public hearing which he knows will cost him the election.

Where is the celebrated mouth piece, John Parinello, on this issue. What's wrong with the peons-taxpayers that they aren't storming town hall in protest. This town has no pride. We are all sheep being led to the slaughter.

For me, it's time to leave as soon as soon as I can. On that day, happiness for me will be seeing the Town of Greece in my rear view mirror.

to 9:30am:....just like Town Hall (filtering..or ignoring..the information they are not prepared to answer).

Anonymous said...

It' serious business running town hall, scats. The republicans don't have time for these shenanigans.

SCATS said...

To 11:31AM ~~ Is that you RJ? Yes, it is serious "business" indeed! Maybe that's why "Auberger Presents Potty Tales" is on the calender for next week. What "business" could be more serious than potty training? LOL

Regarding The Town of Greece website's "tool" for locating your council person ~~

I've input at least 20 different street names into this "tool" and got little in the way of exact info except on two streets.

Straub Rd, Black Walnut Dr, Leonard Rd, Fox Meadow, Kirk Rd. Flynn Rd. and a variety of other "through streets" that aren't terribly lengthy in distance were tried. ALL of them came back with either one or more wards given and the message to "Call Town Hall" or gave information that was contradictory or confusing. Island Cottage was especially perplexing because it states it's in Ward 1 and then says "Call Town Hall." Out of the names I input, the ONLY ONE that came back with a definitive ward and named council person was for "Fetzner Rd." Several streets that I input names for were not even recognized by the tool. Knowing this, I'd be reluctant to post the link for such a worthless "tool" on here as well. It really doesn't "help" people.

9:19 this doesn't make sense. I thought Mccann was making a deal to work for Maloney if he won?

Anonymous said...

1:31- we wont know that until after the election

Anonymous said...

I still don't understand why a clearly democrat site expects republican candidates to post on it? That would be like asking the democrats to stop lying and expecting them to do so.

Anonymous said...

Scats, I appreciate you trying to help the folks in defining where the wards are...but the info is very hard to come by with specifics. You'd think for all the "Pardon our Dust while We're Under Construction", they'd have that info on there. I know Dan Maloney wants to revamp that whole site when he's elected and make it more user friendly where residents can actually ACCESS information.

The Dem site with all the bios, slide shows, calendar of events, etc, really came through this year! What can the Rep's even do as a comeback in their defense? And the funny thing is: I don't hear any bloggers as their cheerleaders either.

SCATS said...

To 2:26PM ~~ "Clearly Democrat?" LOL!!! Because I propose that we need to change the status quo for how business in Greece is conducted does NOT make me Dem or Rep or Ind, even! If this were so "clearly Democrat" I would delete without a trace every comment attempting to discredit the Dem candidates.

The fact of the matter is that with ONLY ONE PARTY RUNNING EVERYTHING IN GREECE, there is only one party to blame for the mess we are in! ;)

I'm still waiting for the Reps to come out with some info ... tick, tick, tick ...

SCATS said...

By the way 2:26PM ~~ Please show me "a lie" the Dems told. Post a source. I bet you can't back up your contention.

I hear that Auberger is now having the investigators look into how assigned take home police vehicles were used by those officers.
The higher ranks of our police department have been assigned take home cars since Jerry Phelan was Chief, but in having that assigned car ment that the officer was on 24hour call.
How has John Auberger used his assigned police car when off duty. He stopped using the car when Mayor Duffy stopped the take home car in the city muncipal departments.
why does our code enforcement officer have a take home car???????

SCATS said...

To 3:46PM ~~ Maybe he uses it to make the pigeons, seagulls and rats scatter by chasing them through Northgate Plaza's parking lot ... ? :D

I don't understand. Someone can freely come here and make an accusation with no proof that it's true.

And the responsibility falls on the one being accused to prove it's false?

So it's guilty until proven innocent here. Are you kidding me?

It's a good thing the judicial system isn't run buy these people.

Anonymous said...

Why in God's name would anyone use the worthless tool on the Town site, when the Dem site not only tells you your ward, but where your polling site is, who ALL your elected officials are and more? And that's on both the candidate website (with a map) as well as the committee website.

http://greece2009.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=59

DOH!

SCATS said...

To 5:12PM ~~ 2:26PM has made a blanket accusation that the Democrats are lying without giving any examples. The implication is that all Dems are liars all of the time ... an absurd statement, even if it were said about the Republicans. I'm justified in asking them to show some proof.

SCATS said...

To 5:40PM ~~ Perhaps not everyone is registered to vote, a condition for utilizing the Dems tool. Why is that a requirement? It really makes no sense to me.

Anonymous said...

You're right. Stupid me. I forgot that in the land of fixed Bush elections, being registered or not living in Florida DOES NOT COUNT!

SCATS said...

To 11:16PM ~~ I think you miss the larger issue. There are people who aren't registered to vote who may have the need to locate the info about their ward council person. Not everyone is an American citizen, over 18 years of age, registered in Monroe County following a recent relocation ... etc.

Anonymous said...

I see on their website:

greecegop that they are still making entries (as of Aug 14th)....

for what it's worth.

Anonymous said...

Posting republican info here may be construed in some way as positive. That is not allowed.

SCATS said...

To 9:34PM ~~ No one ever said that! It's simply untrue.
