Auberger Expects GPD Investigation To Wrap Up In A Couple Weeks

“There's no pressure. I think we need to have a thorough investigation for the Greece residents and we will continue to do that.” ~~ John Auberger, regarding investigation costs

News 10NBC reports that the grand jury is hearing testimony currently which concerns the Greece PD investigation. It is not known who the target is.

Also, GPD property clerk Mike Giardina resigned days before being interrogated by Loszynski's team.

“They're spending a lot of a lot of money on some very non descript issues and they're dismantling the Greece Police Department which I think in both respects is just atrocious.” ~~ Atty John Parrinello

SCATS ~~ I think we need to have a thorough investigation into the costs of this investigation and the sources of funding used to support it!

It's interesting to note that the version of this report I heard on the radio mentioned that the head of GPD's criminal investigations was also stepping down.

Who does Parrinello think he is to be commenting on the "cost" of this investigation?

I don't like the cost either but this is a result of POOR oversite for years. All of us (not just the politicians) are guilty of looking the other way.

So, who is the head of GPD's criminal investigative unit?

Personally I am not concerned in the least about the taxpayer money being spent on the GPD investigation. It is warrented and so far has suspened or fired a bunch of rogue cops and there should be more to come. Contrast this investigation with the money spent on legal fees and other stuff the SCHOOL BOARD authorized so that they can justify ex-super Walts keeping his health care, bugging the board room and having a resident arrested at a meeting.

While I am no fan of the Stupidvisor of the town at all or his town board minions, at least heads are rolling at GPD. The school board has much to learn but they are too busy covering up under the watchful eye of Boiley.

Just read in the D&C this morning that the ROB-U-TRADE guy Marone has another two months to see if a plea deal can be worked out. Court date has been moved back to the end of October. Wonder if they will try to delay it again so it won't come up until AFTER the Nov. elections.

To 7:09AM ~~ No names were given on the radio story which seemed to be a "lead-in" for the 6PM TV news on Ch 10. Of course, Ch 10 did name the property clerk, but then failed to mention the other person completely in their online coverage. This sort of thing is frustrating but happens quite often with bad news coming out of Greece. Maybe some of it gets stuck in a time warp between the media and the "mothership" (Town Hall!)?

To 7:11AM ~~ You mean like Pignato's second trial and the Roderick cases?

I heard Steve Wise retired too...is this true?

Perhaps the officers are tired of being badgered by Augie and Loczie.

And badgered is an understatement. I heard that they interviewed the property clerk so many times, and couldn't get him to say what they wanted to hear, that he left.

That is hardly cleaning out the bad guys. That's making sure the ones that are left are the ones you can control.

Great job Johnnie Boy!

To 8:07AM ~~ I heard Lt. Wise will be heading out in a few weeks. I don't know how true that may be, but it sounds about right.

I think they wanted the property clerk's stories to be in line with protecting Auberger's backside.

Is there a way to get a list explaining what type of rumors and unconfirmed "I heard..." are allowed here. Some are chastised and certain others are promoted.

Rules variations regarding which type of people get to freely rumor monger whatever they want are getting confusing. Also certain name calling appears to be allowed but others are removed or rejected.

Can we at least get a list of either what types of name calling are ok or who we can/cannot call names? This is a sincere request. Thanks.

To 10:18AM ~~ What I "heard" was on the radio, therefore it is not rumor. There is no "list."

Regarding Lt. Wise, I'm hearing from my own sources that he is, in fact, the head of criminal investigations. Assuming the radio report was accurate, it sounds like he is on his way out of GPD too.

The unofficial, yet to be announced deal concerning Lt. Wise is misuse of his assigned unmarked vehicle for personal out of state reasons. Also connected to that trip, misuse of town credit cards and Thruway EZ pass.

This one has to haunt Auberger as Lt. Wise is a member of the Greece Republican Committee and a confirmed donor to Auberger's reelection campaign. In addition, he was one of Auberger's three spies in the Department along with Phelan and Chatterton, both of whom are also members of the Greece Republican Committee and donors to his reelection campaign.

The lesson here is obvious. When it comes to politics, there are no loyalties, especially when you are wounded as Auberger is.

Who's next?

I'm just wondering? After all this turmoil are we going to have a functioning police force. And how will it be any better if Rahn goes as long as John Auberger is calling the shots?

To 12:30PM ~~ I'm told the Town of Greece (Auberger) plans a "Training Seminar/Picnic" for previous participants in the Citizen's Police Academy. Maybe he will deputize some of them. RJ, are you ready to become a real crime fighter? LOL

And I believe Lt. Wise is the same "investigator" with GPD who headed up the "investigation" into Steve Walts and crew when they absconded with district property and took it to Virginia. This is the same "investigator" who looked into the bugging of the board room too. And of course is a friend of ex-police chief Gerry Phelen who filed bankruptcy to the tune of almost $300,000 and whos son is on the GPD force and also part of the Republican giftee's to the Stupidvisor's coffers.
