Are They Dealing With Reality? Or Too Arrogant To See The Writing On The Wall?

Politicians Respond After Albany Shutdown

"Nine of 12 locally elected state legislators responded to inquiries from the Democrat and Chronicle, including three of four state senators. Of the senators, only Joseph Robach, a Republican from Greece, reported receiving no negative feedback."

"William Reilich, the head of the Monroe County Republican Committee and an assemblyman from Greece, said the notion that incumbents could be tossed out en masse in 2010 is an exaggeration that discredits discerning voters."

"I have run for the Assembly multiple times and every year you hear that. To throw everybody out is foolish. It's incumbent on the voting public to know the good guys and the bad guys." ~~ Bill Reilich

I say vote every incumbent out. Then they can run in the next election knowing who has the power to put them in office in the first place.

I bet that would change a few attitudes.

Roebach just got re-elected. Didn't Reilich too?

It's very telling that no one from Greece complained to Joe. Maybe people thought it wouldn't do any good anyway.

Everybody knows the problem is a downstate one. What good would it do to complain?

Golisano and his money are what created it. Perhaps looking at the list of who slept with Golisano is a good place to start.

It's funny I haven't heard our local politicians talk about downstate politicians being the problem - have you?

They all should have been fired for not showing up to work. All of us would be fired if we pulled what they did. Their all a bunch of overpaid primadonnas.

While criticizing downstaters, our upstate pols have their own sense of entitlement. They often act as if they have a divine right to rule.
