When Did GCSD Start Running A Membership Gym Club?

"Barnard Fitness Facility" offers "reasonable rates"

Whose idea was this?
Who is in charge?
Where does the money collected go?

They had to offer this because they let so many of their school facilities become rundown. Now the sports teams have a safe and clean place to workout.

All of the high schools have their own weight rooms. This is primarily for the staff to use. Yet another waste of time and monies. There is also a staff member on duty. Wonder what that costs?

to 6:52PM ~~ A description of the Olympia HS weight room given to the BOE earlier this year sounded as though the Health Dept. should condemn it!

It is all paid for by a grant it isn't costing you anythying!

To 10:02AM ~~ Just because a grant paid for something does NOT mean we should be involved in a particular business. Besides, the "grant" was to build the place. Grants expire and are often not renewed. In this case, GCSD is CHARGING PEOPLE TO USE THE GYM! That's why I asked the question. Is it our desire to compete with Bally?
