Look at past reorganizational meeting agendas - there is never a residents forum at that meeting. The unions don't get to speak either. Don't make such a big deal about it it's no different then anyother year. And just because you posted something about the superintendent doesn't make it true, maybe there is nothing to say.

To 10:11AM ~~ Never in the past? I do not believe that is the case. How far into the past have you looked?

Regarding the Supt's situation, I stand by the postings as true. In fact, there is more than has been already told. Could the situation change? Of course! But that doesn't mean nothing happened.

10:11 is wrong.
The re-organizational meeting is chaired/facilitated by the clerk for the election of board officers. Then it is adjourned to take the pictures. Then it is reconvened by the new president and there is a usual board meeting with residents forum and the rest. Maybe/hopefully it was an oversight.

SCATS 11:38 AM, I have reorganizational meeting agendas back to July 2005 and there has not been a residents forum at any of those meetings. There have been code of conduct public hearings, similar to the contract for excellence public hearing being held on 7/14.

To 1:41PM ~~ Perhaps you should have a chat with Ms. Hauer and ask her about the infamous reorganizational meeting where she wagged both her tongue and her finger at the newly sworn-in BOE members while ripping them a new one during her participation during a Residents' Forum :)

PS ~~ If she needs the date, have her email me and I'll jog her memory ;)

For all you naysayers ~~ According to BOE policy #3220 ~~

"The Board of Education recognizes the importance of maintaining an open dialogue with the community by assigning an agenda item for public comment at each regular business meeting."

IT IS OUR POLICY TO HAVE THIS FORUM :)

(It's also our policy to continue to break our own policies ;)

What Greece needs is a Policy Policy.

I agree that scats does a great job. Thank you scats!

So you want a residents forum so you can ask the Super if its true that he may not be here next year? Come on do you really expect an answer? If his contract isnt renewed he will most likely just be looking for a job else where between now and next June. Doesn't really take a lot of detective work to figure that one out. No resident forum needed.

To 11:12AM ~~ I want a Residents' Forum so that:
1 ~ The BOE is following the policy they wrote and adopted. This idea goes to TRUST.
2 ~ Anyone who has something they wanted to address the BOE about gets the opportunity to do so, even if it is about the Supt. This idea goes to community input and communication, even though it's like addressing a brick wall.

I'd like to personally welcome the hockey mom to the clown posse :)

Steve II has gotta go. He's stayed long past his welcome. Does he have any dignity left?

What will C. do without someone to stare at?
