If you lack a sense of humor, don't bother complaining ;)

We are looking more and more like a church rather than a public school district. Next they will be holding bingo. That would be a fun fundraiser!
Meet me at the rummage sale at Arcadia middle next week. maybe the Brady's will be getting rid of something valuable. (you had to see the movie)

To 2:23PM ~~ Unless they have moved into their new digs, I do not believe so.

To 2:27PM ~~ That's a slippery subject ...

I just read the flyer, it says that it is for the Community Education not the Greece Education Foundation. I believe the two are seperate.

OMIGOD Does that mean they are having so few people sign up for their classes that instead of canceling them or having us agree to have fewer classes for the same price(the usual bait and switch of community ed) we can have chicken barbecues and fish fries to offset the teacher's salary?

To 3:47PM ~~ Hmmm ... you may be right. I didn't realize that Greece Community Education provided scholarships. What flyer are you referring to?

4:10- Their classes are so over-priced. Thats why they don't get enough warm bodies to hold class. You're right about bait and switch though. I got so sick of it our family stopped taking their classes.

Quick, somebody call Monroe County Health.
GCSD is probably bypassing all sorts of health regulations, and Park Ridge doesn't need a massive influx of food poisoning patients.

There are posters in the mall outside of the Community Ed building. So I would have to say that it is for Community Ed, it says its for the children's scholarship. Not sure what that is.

Is it possible these "scholarships" are for Bridges and not college????

Bridges is a regular Greece central program part of K-1? Or not? Anyone know.

Just for fun, I called the number. It gets answered at Longridge School. I asked about buying advance chix tix. I was told to bring a check made out to an individual (name was spelled out for me without me even asking) to Longridge before 5:30PM. (Clearly, the audit of GCSD has had little impact on how we conduct business in Greece Schools!)

I asked about what sort of scholarship this was for. The respondent sounded unsure ... "You know ... children's programs we have here ... at Community Ed ..."

Scats- I called it too. Pretty much I got the same info. In my humble opinion, a proper scholarship fund would have its own account and checks would be made payable to something like "Greece Community Education Scholarship Fund." Making checks out to individuals is asking for trouble.......

To 11:38AM ~~ I agree :)
