Community Invited To Attend Tuesday Meeting ...

... As Long As You Don't Want To Speak, That Is ;)

Board of Education Reorganizational Meeting Tuesday
Community members are invited to attend the Greece Central School District’s annual Reorganizational Meeting on Tuesday, July 14. The session starts at 6:30 p.m. in Room E46 on the third floor of Apollo Middle School, 750 Maiden Lane. A public hearing on the Contract for Excellence is scheduled to start at 6:45 that evening with the Board’s regular business meeting to immediately follow.

SCATS ~~ Why has Residents' Forum been eliminated from this "regular business meeting" when BOE policy clearly states it will be held at each regular monthly meeting? Perhaps they want applause, not input. Or perhaps they don't want to hear comments about their possible under-the-table and backroom deals such as the one alluded to below:

SCATS,
Leaking news that a certain BOE member has been secretly meeting with Dick Snyder and he will be appointed interim Super? what a joke. No wonder the GASA contract got pushed through?? Did he sell out his group? 7/13/2009 9:12 PM

NOTHING would surprise me about the lengths these people are willing to go to promote their agenda. Stifling input is one of their goals. Education certainly isn't their priority. Can't wait to see who wins boe pres and vp roles. Sadly it really doesn't matter to anyone but them.

Who is Dick Snyder?

Dick is a principal at Athena. One of the good old boys of Greece Central.

Ever notice how they always have time for board member comments? They love to hear themselves talk.

DICK SNYDER AS SUPERINTENDENT??? God help us all.

So is Steve Deux really leaving like I heard? How much are we paying him to go? Where is the public discussion about doing this? I wonder what our lawyer bills have been under Julia's reign this past year?????

Dick will enver be Interim Super...come on, this is how grapevine rumors get started.

How about Moscato as Super with Towbridge in charge of Personel?

I'm glad you are so confident that Mr. Snyder will never be interim. Don't know who your informants are but stranger things have been known to happen. Hell, when Meg was ousted Lisa Buckshaw was named interim for a bit til Kehoe arrived. No one would have bet on that happening either.

Tonight's election of board vp and pres will determine the direction of the district and the super's fate for the next year. I look for a 5 to 4 split vote. Who gets elected will be decided by the hockeymama. Will she side with Roger Rabbit or will she vote with Julia's groupies? I'm praying Roger loses!

The hockey woman might not be the deciding vote. Tydings flips sides with every change in wind direction. Can you say indecisive?

Hockey Mom will vote with Boily. He's told everyone and anyone that he has Hockey Mom in his pocket. She'll do just as he says. According to him she wouldn't have won the seat on the Board with out him - she owes him. Let's watch this play out - beat she always votes with Boily. Apparently there is some connection between her, her husband, Boily's sons and the Riley's. Nothing like polotics on the School Board.

The connection is: Hockey Mom's sister in law is a teacher at Athena. HMMM?

Well well well!!! that makes hockey mom downright powerful now doesn't it?

Dick Snyder is a yes man. He is also a terrible Principal. So, he is perfect for the BOE. He will do as he is told and be the perfect scapegoat when it hits the fan down the road.As it always does at GCSD.

Does anyone wonder why the BOE (If not happy with Steve 2) accepts his recommendations?
1. Why is the BOE allowing administration to hire technology staff full time when this service was offered through BOCES and the district got 80% state aide for it? Who sold that? O, the district had to share with other districts, poor district don't like to share. So tax payer pays. What are we up to 4 techies hired and another 4 resently posted?
2. Hire an outside person to give the BOE advise on how to save energy? There are already staff working who can do that. O, the district administration will not support an in-district staffer recommendations to save energy. Too bad another waste of tax payer $. Just another news flash, the person being hired is a Greece Ridge Fireman? Who does he Know? HMMM

This board neutered this super by overturning his hockey coach ruling.
And the worst part was HE was just following policy.
This board only wants policy followed when it FEELS good.
