Olympia Student Arrested

I received an email today informing me that a 17 year old Olympia HS student was arrested in relation to the recent Kwik-Fill gas station incident. Apparently, the Resource Officer at Olympia recognized him from a sketch. The teen is alleged to have stolen $75 and the vehicle he used in the incident.

Note: Yet another kid sitting in a classroom somewhere other than Odyssey. Again, when these "little angels" aren't allowed into Odyssey, the rate of "little angels" in other classrooms inreases.

On a somewhat unrelated Odyssey subject, I had the privledge of meeting a Greece elementary school teacher today who mentioned that her oldest child attends Odyssey. I asked her if she was able to get her child in, in her first attempt with the lottery. With eyebrows raised, she responded, "Knowing certain people doesn't hurt". Certainly sounds like a fair system to me!

Probably if teachers and other adults who know this student were questioned they would probably say that they new the student was headed for trouble but they did not know where they could go to get help for the student.
Another example that magnifies abscence our Youth Bureau and Storefront cops program.
Thanks John Auberger. Maybe constituent services can intervene on this student.
