Can the lottery school discrimination be that far behind? Welcome To Greece, Where The Inaction Of Some Cost Plenty!

Does any other school district in the county have lottery schools? Is the process open unlike greece?

Nothing will change as long as the Meg K-C led administration is still in place, and they are! They have been trained by the worst.

That's what I got out of the article too. The reaction of the administration to dismiss that sub right after he questioned whether he was not considered for the opening because of race sounds like the vengeful attitude and behaviors of the Walts and keller cogan regime. So it is still quacking like a duck just a little more quietly and sneaky? And our community will pay finacially in bigger insurance premiums and legal fees as well as not having a diverse staff. And if they discriminate against the staff hirings what can their attitude be for any student that is not reflective of the racial background of the administration?

Greece discriminates based on age, sex and race. Unless you are a twenty-something female, and white or as close to it as possible, chances are next to none that you'll get hired in Greece. If you think I'm wrong, look at the staffing stats!

The entire town is an arion nation. From the school board to the town board to all of their staffing, white, white, white.

Then do a look at the lawsuits filed against the GPD for profiling.

Everyone who is BLACK in this town, visiting, or living here knows it.

Dirty little Greece secret.

Why are you all talking about school stuff? I thought this was a democrat/working families party blog set up to go after Jack Auberger and the town of Greece for the campaigns this year. I know you want to make it look like there is racism all over the place and that Greece is a horrible place, but get your priorities in order and focus. Or do you throw these stories in there to try to establish credibility? I'm not being sarcastic so please don't attack me with mean spirited comments. I'm legitimately just asking a question about the point of this.

11:06, When I sign onto this page the first words I read at the top are "Smarter CATS in the Greece Central School DIstrict". That leads me, and I would imagine some others, to believe that school issues can and will probably be discussed.

To 11:06AM ~~ Originally, this BLOG was primarily intended to focus on Greece School District issues. With time and as issues expanded to encompass other aspects of Greece, Monroe County and even NY State, SCATS' coverage grew. SCATS does NOT represent any particular political party ... unless "common sense" is in its title ;)

Congratulations SCATS on being "THE" defacto blog on all things Grease!

If they don;t like it, Why don't the greece republicans set up a blog

That's right they call their blog the d & C.

What's is Meaghan's take on this?

Didn't she indicate, as our reigning "expert" there were no problems in Greece?

PS there is a video on the web done by some students on racial attitudes in Greece Olympia. If I can find it I will send the link.

If someone knows where this video is link it.

I think Meg's take on the racial problems in Greece was pretty clearly stated when she remarked that the facts surrounding "lottery" racism were half truths. I imagine that the BOE shares the same opinion. Unfortunatly, it's there opinion and inaction (not Meg's), that will end up costing taxpayers in the end once the lawsuits begin.

ARYAN Nation. Please don't make me laugh any harder. Everyone crying discrimination. Yet have you seen Greece Olympia High School there are more african american students in that school than any other school in Greece. If an african american teacher is not qualified to teach they should not be allowed to teach I don't care if there are more black students or whatever. We need to stop with the affirmative action rulings. Stop the preferential treatment. And learn how to spell Aryan before you use it in a sentence. I also love how everyone who has an opinion has to remain anonymous.

3:11 Meg is much too busy reveling in Jim Memmott's fond feel good accolades about her story on the Athena student from Togo to be worried about what's going on with local kids who attend Olympia.

Anonymous said...

way to go jc you said it perfectly

"I also love how everyone who has an opinion has to remain anonymous."

Just like you, "JC?" lol
I looked up the name and find no reference to any O'rourke with the initials of "JC."

Anonymous said...

He's probably "one of them"

Anonymous said...

Perhaps JC should reread what has been said up until this point. Basically that the reason Olympia has so many students of color is because they don't stand a rat's ass of a chance at getting into Odyssey in the fair and impartial "lottery".

Anonymous said...

Nor do they stand a rat's arse of getting a teacher of color regardless which school they attend.

We now have an African American President so the minorities can stop blaming society for holding them back. Perhaps if the parents of these minority students took some action and got involved in their childs education then maybe they would be able to graduate. By the way my name is Jason.

It's constant complaining with minorities. First they say their kid can't pass because they don't have a minority teacher and then it's eexcuse after excuse. Your kid can't pass because you are not involved in their education. Stop having kids.

jcorourke said...

What about all the jews who don't have Jewish teachers??????

Anonymous said...

They're harder to "pick out" in the crowd. Usually around Christmas time the gigs up.

SCATS said...

To JC ~~ I must correct you. Our "African-American" President is actually half white ;)

By the way, I'm not so sure it's the parents who are claiming their kids can't get ahead. Since their parents are so tuned-out (according to the masses), I think maybe (I said "maybe" because it leaves room for doubt) it's the judgment that society believes they can't achieve because we constantly blame their parents for being absent. Our expectations of minority students are low. Their performance matches the expectation.

PS ~~ I'm playing devil's advocate here, but think about it!

To 12:40PM ~~ Ha ha ha!! That was amusing :)

I see what's happening now. The Greece Democrat party wants to paint Greece as a racist community. Don't know if that'll help with their campaigns this year, but it's worth a shot as it's something new that hasn't been tried yet. It'll help their argument if we can show that the Asians are discriminated against too. Same for those of middle-eatern descent. White teachers should be ashamed of themselves for working in a racist school system. Same for the GPD. They should all quit, or at least an acceptable quota amount as established by the Democrats. What do you think would be fair? I think the Democrats should really push the racism battle cry this year. Add it to the plan to eliminate the GPD. It's good strategy.

SCATS said...

To 8:31AM ~~ Where did you get the idea that the Democrats have anything to do with the discrimination lawsuit against GCSD? If you've paid any attention to the last 10 years of activity in Greece Central, you'd know that several other EEOC lawsuits for discrimination have already been dealt with. Age discrimination is at least as insidious as racial discrimination in my mind ;)

To 8:31. Yeah, those nasty Democrats snuck into the records department and got rid of all of the personnel files for all of the minority workers who are employed at the school and in the town. When they got through with that, they went around and painted all the people of color white, just to reinforce their case. And then when they got done with that, they bought some cocaine, and a dozen or more shots for Nick Joseph, and gave him the keys to his brothers truck. Then the loaded up the Kool-aid of Pignato with Spanish Fly and sent him out on every domestic or female call to respond to so he could get laid, and get paid.

Then, when they were all done with that, they snuck in Merritt Rahn's car, and snagged his gun, and dropped it off at the crack house where they bought the cocaine for Nicky boy. In exchange for the gun, they left a couple of bottles for the old man, so he could relax because the stress is just killing him.

And, when they finally thought they were through, they hired a hypnotist and snuck him into Johnny A-burger's office, and put a spell on him, demanding that he be the next Napoleon Bonaparte of the 21st century. All one need do is bark and he will place his hand in his vest across his chest and start chanting "I'm the boss!"

That's the cue for Perky Firky to slap on those 4" FM shoes and run to the rescue, dropping all things significant for that chance to be in the media - even forgetting to record multi-million dollar checks from Kodak used to offset the building costs of the Senior/Community Center, also known as "tile world".

Then we can't forget those special brownies that Chuckie Schwab ate that caused him to set up off shore bank accounts and instead of going to town, he decided to just steal from the town and mess around with some pretty reputable characters. Hey, but it's only just money.

Yeah, those nasty Democrats. I hear some of them are even some of those "minority" people of color, and some of them don't do what Jack A-Burger wants, and (gasp!) some of them actually follow the law, don't use drugs, don't drink and drive, don't sexually molest women, don't steal, don't have offshore bank accounts, don't rip off the public by the misuse of ceramic tile, and actually, unlike Merritt Rahn, live in the Town of Greece - and none of them have broken wrists! Imagine that.

Anonymous said...

Isn't it wishful thinking to blame the democrats. That would assume thay could have actually gotten it together to do anything in the last few years. -- hopefully that's about to change

While we are at it let's blame canada. I can see it from my roof.

WE're not in kansas anymore kathy.

Anonymous said...

12:47 - Wow, I hadn't thought of it that way, but you make a compelling argument. Now I'm defintely not voting for the Democrats! :)

Not to mention that you're not "allowed" to...Maggie doesn't like it when you dishonor her wishes.
