SCATS ~~ This just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? If I wrote a book about this case, it would have to be fiction. No sane person would believe all this craziness really happened!

It's just like the school board, who would ever believe all the crazy nonsense that goes on there. Comptroller's audit reveals millions given to contractor, former superintendent leaves with lifetime health care, stolen property and $60,000 in benefits to which he was not entitled, former school board president has bankruptcy reduced from $200,000+ to $60,000 which is paid, buildings falling apart and blowing in the wind, but contractor is never brought to justice, school test scores in the garbage, but candidates for school board say everything is "rosy" and the list goes on and on. If you wrote a book, no one would believe it. TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION in Greece.

Best of all no one is responsible

The puzzle to me is that no matter how bad or crazy the school board or town government handles things, we keep re-electing them. What the hell, bring back Brian Ball and Merritt Rahn. Keep shoveling money into Walts' pocket. Re-elect everybody. We, the sane people of Greece, can see we've been licked. We give up. Inmates, enjoy your asylum.

So........I opened the D&C today hoping to read about this in the paper and NO STORY. Are the reporters on furlough again?

I want to give a big hug to the cop who turned over the text messages to the NYS Police. This community member is grateful you crossed the big blue line of silence! Hope more of you do the same. Remember.......the people you serve are in your corner. We do not want a corrupt police department.

No one should claim that "there is not a shred of evidence" to justify the alleged criminal acts!

To 9:08AM ~~ Our thin-skinned reporter was too busy on SCATS yesterday to cover the story. She was busy defending her rude brush-off regarding a citizen letter to her. If you notice, quite a few D&C story ideas seem to originate here.

All of these incidents that are now coming to light have been known by the Auberger administration.
If this investigation is run with getting real truth out, there will be more to come. Scats don't start writing that book just yet.
To think that these government officials who are in positions that serve the people. They will all walk away with nice retirement benefits when what they used their positions for was to get away with lies and deception. A sad time for the town's people of greece.
VOTE THEM OUT, CLEAN HOUSE and let us start over, with a more careful eye.
